Conserving Battery Power
Your phone includes an ambient light sensor and battery
save setting to extend battery life. When this feature is
activated, it automatically turns off the keypad backlight
when it detects that enough ambient light is available.
Inhibiting or covering the sensor can cause intermittent
backlighting.
Find the Feature M > Settings > Initial Setup
