For basic connectivity, the Duex Float can be used with a single USB-C to C cable, provided your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP ALT mode). This setup allows for a streamlined connection, transmitting both video and power through a single cable. If your laptop's USB-C port does not support DP ALT mode, you can still connect the Duex Float using a USB-C to C cable for power and an HDMI cable for video. This dual-cable approach ensures compatibility with a wider range of laptops. For older laptops or those with limited USB-C ports, the Duex Float also supports a connection using a USB-C to C cable, a Type-A adapter, and an HDMI cable, catering to devices that primarily feature USB-A and HDMI ports.
The Duex Float offers several positioning guides to enhance its usability. In attachment mode, which is optional, the monitor can be mounted to your laptop. This mode requires referring to an attachment guide and mounting template for proper installation. Once attached, the monitor can be deployed by extending its kickstand and rotating it.
