  If your MQ Power Portable Generator engine starts and the engine speed switch is in the HIGH position, but the voltage is too low or cannot be used, the issue may be a defective circuit breaker, a layer short circuit or broken wires in the armature winding, or a defective AVR. Replace the circuit breaker, repair or replace the armature, and replace the AVR if necessary.

  If your MQ Power Portable Generator experiences low engine power, output, and speed, it could be due to an empty fuel tank, a clogged fuel filter, inadequate fuel tank venting, leaks at pipe unions, an engine oil level that is too full, or injection pump wear. Add fuel, replace the fuel filter, ensure the tank is adequately vented, check and tighten pipe unions, correct the engine oil level, and use only No. 2-D diesel fuel.

  If your MQ Power Portable Generator engine starts and the engine speed switch is in the HIGH position, but no voltage is present at the AC power source, it could be due to several reasons. The rectifier, rotor, or voltmeter might be defective, or there could be disconnected wiring, a layer short circuit in the armature winding, or a defective AVR. Consider replacing the rectifier, rotor, voltmeter, or armature. Check and repair any disconnected wiring. Replace the AVR if necessary.
