OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
AND OWNER’S MANUAL
READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY: Read and follow all instructions. Place instructions in a safe
place for future reference. Do not allow anyone who has not read these instructions to assemble,
light, adjust or operate the heater.

WARNING:
Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any
other appliance.
An LP cylinder not connected for use shall not be stored in the vicinity of this or any other appli-
ance.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
Do not try to light appliance.
Extinguish any open flame.
Shut off gas to appliance.
Service must be performed by a qualified service agency.
DO NOT LEAVE HEATER UNATTENDED OR IN OPERATION WHILE SLEEPING
This is an unvented gas-fired portable heater. It uses air (oxygen) from the area in which it is used.
Adequate combustion and ventilation air must be provided. Refer to page 3.

Hook-Up Information

Locking Knob Placement Caution

Ensure the locking knob is outside the collar and tightened against the bulk tank collar.

POL Nut Tightening

Screw POL nut finger tight into bulk tank valve, then tighten with a 7/8" open end wrench.

Connection Location

Always connect heater to bulk tank outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, never near open flame.

For Safe Operation

Propane Handling and Safety

Handle propane carefully, detect leaks, use correct tanks, connect outdoors, proper operation and storage.

Operational Precautions

Read instructions, never leave unattended, use correct ignition method, do not tamper.

Ventilation Requirements

Unvented Heater Ventilation

Heater is unvented, requires ample ventilation, specific opening sizes for safe operation.

Minimum Clearance

Clearance to Combustibles

Maintain specific distances from heater to combustible materials, never sleep with heater on.

Assembly Procedure

Connecting to Propane Cylinder

Ensure regulator knob is off, screw POL nut into cylinder counterclockwise, tighten.

Lighting Instructions

Pre-Lighting Checks

Check fittings with soap solution; use only HD.5 propane gas and a standard POL valve.

Lighting Procedure (MH24T)

Place lit match on reflector, push valve button, hold for 30 seconds, release.

Lighting Procedure (MH24TS)

Push valve button and Sparklite igniter button until burner ignites, hold valve for 30 seconds.

Relighting Procedure

If burner fails to light, turn knob to 'off', wait five minutes before relighting.

Shutdown and Storage Instructions

Shutdown Procedure

Turn tank valve and regulator knob to 'OFF'. Allow heater to cool for 15 minutes before handling.

Storage Recommendations

Remove cylinder from heater, store cylinders in a cool, ventilated place away from flame or heat.

Parts Ordering and Warranty

Replacement Parts

Use only manufacturer's replacement parts; available direct from factory, installed by qualified agency.

Contact Technical Support for information, service, or missing/damaged parts. Include model, date, description.

Limited Warranty
