Overview of Components
SATA1~10: SATA 6Gb/s Connectors
These connectors are SATA 6Gb/s interface ports. Each connector can connect to one
SATA device.

SE1_65: SATAe Connector
This connector is a SATAe (SATA Express) interface port. Each SATAe connector can be
used with a single SATAe device or two legacy SATA devices.

Important
y For the motherboard with 40-lanes CPU, SATAe port (include SATA5~6) will be
unavailable when installing M.2 SATA SSD module in M.2 slot.
y For the motherboard with 28-lanes CPU, SATAe port (include SATA5~6) will be
unavailable when installing M.2 SATA/ PCIe SSD module in M.2 slot.
y Please do not fold the SATA or SATAe cable at a 90-degree angle. Data loss may
result during transmission otherwise.
y SATA or SATAe cables have identical plugs on either sides of the cable. However, it
is recommended that the flat connector be connected to the motherboard for space
saving purposes.
