Inspect the CPU to check f t s prop-
erly seated n the socket. Press the
loadng lever down and lock t under
the retenton tab.
5. Evenly spread a thn layer of thermal
paste (or thermal tape) on the top of
the CPU. Ths wll help n heat ds-
spaton and prevent CPU overheat-
ng.

Locate the CPU fan connector on the
motherboard.
7. Place the heatsnk on the mother-
board wth the fan’s wres facng
towards the fan connector and the
hooks matchng the holes on the
motherboard.
