d) Surface finishing - To produce a smooth surface on the
workpiece, reduce the depth of the axial cutter.
3.4. Cleaning and maintenance
a) Pull the mains plug before each cleaning, adjustment, replacement of
accessories and also when the unit is not in use.
Wait until the rotating parts stop.
b) Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
c) Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
d) Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
e) Make sure that no water enters through the ventilation openings in the casing.
f) Clean the ventilation openings with a brush and compressed air.
g) Before starting work, inspect the equipment for serviceability and any damage.
h) Always rotate or replace knives in pairs.
i) If the screws holding the knives have worn or damaged torx sockets, replace
them with new ones.
j) Clean the cutting head shoe with special aluminum cleaner (pH 4.5-8).
3.4.1 Cleaning the knives
Paint residue and other impurities may accumulate under the knives, in which case
they should be cleaned with a sharp tool such as a skewer etc.
3.4.2 Replacing/rotating the axial knives
