, Securethe cable to the lowerlefthandle
near the baseof the unit with a cable tie
from the hardwarepack. Trimoff extra length
of the cable tie. See Figure7.
Attaching Wheels
(Hardware E)
NOTE: The holes providethree cutting heights
for your mower.Usethe same hole location for
all four wheels when assembling. For example,
if you desire the lowestcutting position,as-
semble each wheel at the highest hole on the
deck.
• Block the mower securely.
• Place axle bolt through the wheel with the
hub side ofthe wheel facing the deck. See
Figure8.
• Place the small cupped washer on the axle
bolt with the cupped side towardsthe deck.

• Securethe wheel to the deck with one larger
cupped washer on the inside of the deck
(cupped side againstthe deck) andthe hex
nut.
Tightenaxle bolt until cupped washers
flatten. Assembledthe other wheels in the
same manner.
Removeblocksandputthemoweron
ground.
Attaching Starter Rope
(Hardware C)
= The starter rope isattachedto the engine.
Additional rope may be wound aroundthe
starterhandle. Ifso, unwindthe rope from
the handle.
With the spark plug wire disconnected and
grounded, depressthe bladecontrol handle
and pull the rope out of the engine.
Place the rope guide aroundthe starter
handle,so the opening in the rope guide is
towardthe front of the mower. Insertthe rope
guide intothe rightside ofthe handle, and
secure with hex Iocknut.See Figure9.
