themower.Depressand squeezeitagainsttheupper
handletooperatethe unit. Releaseit to stopengineand
blade.

Drive Control
Thedrivecontrolislocatedontheundersideof the
upperhandleand isusedtoengagethedrive.Squeeze
itagainsttheupperhandleto engagethedrive; release
ittoslowdownor stopmowerfrompropelling.See
Figure4-1.
Mulch Plug
Themulchingplugis usedonlyformulchingpurposes.
Insteadof collectingthe grassclippingsinthe grass
catcher,yourmowerhastheoptionof recirculating
theclippingsbacktothelawn.Makesurethatthe
reardischargedoorisclosedandthe grasscatcheris
removedfromunitwhilemulching.
Cutting Height Adjustment Levers
Oneadjustmentleverislocatedon eachwheelandis
usedtoadjustthecuttingheight.All fourlevershaveto
beat the samerelativepositionto ensurea uniformcut.

2. Servicetheenginewithgasolineas instructedinthe
enginemanual. Seeenginemanualfor locationof oil
andgas fill.
