Popopenthe protectivecap ontheendofthe oil
drainvalveto exposethedrain port.
Removetheoil fillcap/dipstickfromthe oil fill tube.
Pushtheoildrainhose(packedwiththismanual)onto
theoildrainport.Routetheoppositeendofthehoseinto
anappropriateoilcollectioncontainerwithacapacity
greatenoughtocollecttheusedoil.SeeFig.6-1.
Pushthedrainvalveinandturn counter-clockwiseto
releasevalveto drainoil.

Aftertheoil hasfinisheddraining,pushtheoil drain
valvebackin, rotateit clockwiseto lockthevalve
closedand re-captheendof the oil drainvalveto
keepdebrisfromenteringthedrainport.
Servicetheoilfilter (if so equipped)as instructedin
theseparateEngineOperator/OwnerManualpacked
withyourunit.
Performtheabovestepsinthe oppositeorderafteroil
hasfinisheddraining.
7. Refilltheenginewithnewmotoroilas instructedinthe
EngineOperator/OwnerManualpackedwithyourunit.
IMPORTANT:Refertothe EngineOperator/Owner
Manualpackedwithyourunit for informationregarding
thequantityandproperweightof motoroil.
Air Cleaner
Servicethepre-cleaner,if soequipped,andcartridge/air
cleanerelementasinstructedin theEngineOperator/
OwnerManualpackedwithyour unit.
Spark Plug(s)
Thesparkplug(s)shouldbecleanedand thegap reset
oncea season.Sparkplugreplacementis recommended
atthestartofeachmowingseason.RefertotheEngine
Operator/OwnerManualforcorrectplugtypeandgap
specifications.
Lubrication

Engine
Lubricatetheenginewithmotoroil as instructedinthe
EngineOwnerManualpackedwith yourunit.
Pivot Points & Linkage
Lubricateall thepivotpointsonthedrivesystem,parking
brakeand lift linkageatleastoncea seasonwithlightoil.
Rear Wheels
Therearwheelsshouldbe removedfromthe axlesonce
a season.Lubricatetheaxlesandtherimswell withan
all-purposegreasebeforere-installingthem.
Front Axles
Eachendof the tractor'sfrontpivotbarmaybeequipped
witha greasefitting.Lubricatewitha greasegunafter
every25 hoursoftractoroperation.
Cleaning the Engine And Deck
Anyfueloroil spilledonthemachineshouldbe wiped
off promptly.DoNOTallowdebristoaccumulatearound
thecoolingfinsoftheengineor onany otherpart of the
machine.
IMPORTANT:Theuseofa pressurewashertocleanyour
tractorisNOTrecommended,it maycausedamageto
electricalcomponents,spindles,pulleys,bearingsor the
engine.
