Twowaterportsareavailableonyourmowerdeckto
be usedas partofthe deckwashsystem.Usethe
DeckWashSystemTM to rinsegrassclippingsfromthe
deck'sundersideand preventthebuildupof corrosive
chemicals.
If yourtractorisnotalreadyequippedwitha Deck
WashSystemTM thena hexplugcan befoundonyour
tractor'sdecksurface.Thisplugcan bereplacedwitha
separately-availableDeckWashSystemTM.
NOTE:RefertotheAttachments&Accessoriessectiond this
manualforinformationregardingthisandotherseparately-
availableattachments&accessoriesforyourtractor.
ToutilizetheDeckWashSystemTM, completethefollow-
ingstepsAFTEREACHMOWING:
1. Drivethetractortoa level,clearspoton yourlawn,
nearenoughtoa watersillcock(spigot)for your
gardenhoseto reach.
IMPORTANT:Makecertainthetractor'sdischargechuteis
directedAWAYfromyourhouse,garage,parkedcars,etc.

DisengagethePTO(BladeEngage),movethe shift
leverintotheneutralposition,settheparkingbrake,
andstoptheengine.
Threadthehosecoupler(packagedwithyourtractor's
Operator'sManual)ontotheendof yourgardenhose.
Attachthehosecouplerto the waterport onyour
deckssurface.SeeFig.6-2.
5. Turnthewateron.

Whilesittingin theoperator'spositiononthe tractor,
re-starttheengineandplacethethrottleleverin the
FAST(rabbit)position.
Disengagetheparkingbrake.
Movethetractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intothe ON
position.
Remainin the operator's positionwiththecutting
deckengagedfor a minimumof twominutes,allowing
theundersideofthe cuttingdecktothoroughlyrinse.
10.Movethetractor'sPTO(BladeEngage)intotheOFF
position.
11.Turnthe ignitionkeytotheSTOPpositionto turn the
tractor'sengineoff andengagethe parkingbrake.
12.Turnthe wateroff anddetachthehosecouplerfrom
thewaterport onyourdeckssurface.
13.Repeatsteps4-11on theoppositesideof thecutting
deck.

Cutting Deck Removal
Toremovethecuttingdeck,proceedas follows:
1. Placethe PTO/BladeEngageknob inthedisengaged
(OFF)positionandengagetheparkingbrake.
2. Lowerthedeck bymovingthedecklift leverintothe
bottomnotchon therightfender.
3. Removethedeckbeltfromaroundthe tractor's
electricPTOclutch(refertoChangingthe DeckBelt).
4. Lookingat thecuttingdeckfromtheleftsideof the
tractor,locatethedecksupportpinon therearleft
sideofthedeck.
5. Rotatethepinslightlytowardtherearof the tractor
and releaseit.
6. Pullthedecksupportpinoutwardto releasethedeck
fromthe deckliftarm.See Fig.6-3.

is directed AWAYfrom
yourhouse, garage,
parkedcars. etc.
