Rear Wheel with Depth Stake

thetiller.Bothmaybeadjusted.Refertothe"Wheel
Position"and"DepthStake"sectionsforinstructions.
Handle Knobs
Thehandleheightmaybeadjusted.Loosentheknobs
andremovethe carriageboltsto changethe position.
Reinstallandtightenthe hardwarewhencomplete.
Engine Controls

Recoil Starter

Throttle Control
Thethrottlecontrolsthe engine'sspeedandstopsthe
engine.Tecumsehenginescomewitha fixedspeed
throttleand runata full constantspeed.Briggs& Stratton
enginescomewithavariablespeedthrottle.
UnitswithVariableSpeedThrottle:
Withthethrottlecontrolmovedcompletelytothe left,
thecarburetorisin STARTor FASTposition.Use
maximumenginespeedfordeeptilling.
Movethethrottlecontrollevertotherightto reduce
enginespeed.Throttlecontrolshouldbeat IDLEfor
transportingthetiller.
Movethethrottleallthe wayto the rightto stopthe
engine.
Primer
Theprimer,locatedonthe engine,is usedto pumpgas
intothecarburetorandaid instartingtheengine.Useit
tostarta cold engine,butdo notuse it to restarta warm
engineaftera shortshutdown.
