Raising and Lowering Beam
1. Usecontrolhandleto runwedgeupanddownbeam
6 to8 timesto circulatethe hydraulicfluid,whichwill
warmandthinthefluid.
2. Placelog splitteron a firm,levelsurface.
Toraisethebeamforverticaloperation:
3. Pulloutthehorizontalbeamlockonthetongue.
4. Pivotbeamlockdowntoreleasethebeam.
5. Move thebeamto theverticalposition.Secureitwith
thebeamlockonthe reservoirtankassembly.
_ ARNING:Alwaysusethe logsplitter
inthe verticalpositionwhen splitting
heavy logs.
Tolowerthebeam:
1. Pullouttheverticalbeamlockonthereservoirtank.
2. Pivotbeamlockdowntoreleasethebeam.
3. Carefullypullbackon beamandlowerit tothe
horizontalposition.Thehorizontalbeamlockwilllock
automatically.SeeFigure4-1.
