Shipping Brace Removal
WARNING: Make sure the riding
mower's engine is off, removethe
ignition key, and set the parking
brake before removingthe ship-
ping brace.
= Locatetheshippingbrace,if present,andaccompany-
ingwarningtagfoundon therightside of the mower,
betweenthedischargechuteandthecuttingdeck.

,, While holdingthe dischargechutewithyourleft hand,
removetheshippingbracewithyourright handby
graspingit betweenyourthumbandindexfingerand
rotatingitclockwise.

Attaching The Steering Wheel
If the steeringwheelforyourtractordid notcome
attached,thehardwareforattachingit hasbeenpacked
withinthesteeringwheel,beneaththesteeringwheel
cap.Carefullypry off thesteeringwheelcapand remove
thehardware.
NOTE:Therearetwodifferentstylesof steeringwheel
cap.SeeFigure3. Styles vary bymodel,
1. With the wheelsof the tractor pointing straight
forward, placethe steeringwheeloverthe steering
shaft.
2. Placethe washer(withthecuppedside down)over
thesteeringshaftandsecurewiththe hex bolt.See
Figure3.
3. Placethe steeringwheelcapoverthe centerof the
steeringwheelandpushdownwarduntilit "clicks"into
place.
