Connecting to the mains (230 Volts,
A.C., 50 Hz)
z The mower operates from any normal
household mains supply, provided with a
16 Amps. fuse.
3 Note: Residual current protection
device
These protection devices safeguard
while touching damaged wires, from
insulation flaws and in certain cases, also
while damaging live wires.
z We recommend that the equipment
only be plugged into a power socket,
which is protected by a residual
current protection device (RCD) with a
residual current of not more than
30 mA.
z Retrofit kits are available for old instal-
lations. Consult an electrician.
Working Position
Free cutting
1. Hold the trimmer at the upper and middle grip

2. Swing the trimmer in a half circle in front of the
body (without touching the ground).
3 Note
The optimum working angle for free cutting
is about 30 degrees .
Edge cutting
The edge cutting function allows for precise trim-
ming along the lawn’s edge.
1. Hold the trimmer at the upper and middle grip

2. Move the trimmer along the lawn’s edge (with-
out touching the ground).
Starting
Switching on
1. Press and hold the unlocking button – only
for the Typ B.
2. Press the on/off switch or .
3. Release the unlocking button – only for the
Typ B.

3 Trimming tips
Cut longer grass slowly, and in steps.
Line readjustment
z Tip trimmer while running motor on solid
ground, e.g. a sidewalk (pressure of about 3 kg
or 6 pounds). About 1.5 cm of cutting cord will
emerge.

General instructions

z Before any work on the trimmer, discon-
nect the trimmer from the mains!
Cleaning
z Clean the ventilation slits before or after every
trimming, and remove any grass remnants
from the underside of the trimmer.
1 Never clean the tool with a water jet.
Storage
z Store the secateurs in a dry location and out-
side the reach of children.
