Why does my MULTIQUIP Saw blade slow or stop cutting?
- DDiane SmithAug 1, 2025
If the MULTIQUIP Saw blade slows down or stops cutting, there might be several reasons. The blade could be too hard for the material; in this case, consult your dealer or Multiquip for the correct blade, or try cutting very soft material to "Redress" the blade. Alternatively, diminished engine torque due to a loose V-belt could be the cause, so tighten or replace the V-belts. Insufficient engine power could also be the issue, so check the throttle setting and engine horsepower. Ensure the blade is properly oriented with the rotational arrow pointing downwards, and verify that the blade and flange pin are correctly installed on the blade shaft.
