WHEN ADDING FUEL
• Turn engine OFF and let enginecool at least 2 minutes before
removing gas cap.
• Fillfuel tank outdoors or in well-ventilated area.
• Donot overfill fueltank.
• Keep gasolineaway from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat, and
other ignition sources.
• Check fuel lines, tank, cap, and fittings frequentlyfor cracks or leaks.
Replace ifnecessary.
WHEN STARTING ENGINE
• Makesure spark plug,muffler,fuel cap and air cleanerare in place.
• Donot crank enginewith spark plug removed.
• iffuel spills, wait untilit evaporatesbefore starting engine.
• Ifengine floods, set choke to OPEN/RUNposition, place throttle in
FASTand crank until enginestarts.
WHEN OPERATING EQUIPMENT
• Donot choke carburetor to stopengine.
WHEN TRANSPORTING EQUIPMENT
• Transport withfuel tank EMPTY.
WHEN STORING GASOLINE OR EQUIPMENT WiTH FUEL INTANK
• Store away from furnaces,stoves, water beaters orother appliances
that have pilotlight or other ignition source because they can ignite
gasoline vapors.
