WHEN ADDING FUEL
Turn engine OFF and let enginecool at least 2 minutes before
removing gas cap.
Fillfuel tank outdoors or in well-ventilated area.
Donot overfill fueltank.
Keep gasolineaway from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat, and
other ignition sources.
Check fuel lines, tank, cap, and fittings frequentlyfor cracks or leaks.
Replace ifnecessary.
WHEN STARTING ENGINE
Makesure spark plug,muffler,fuel cap and air cleanerare in place.
Donot crank enginewith spark plug removed.
iffuel spills, wait untilit evaporatesbefore starting engine.
Ifengine floods, set choke to OPEN/RUNposition, place throttle in
FASTand crank until enginestarts.
WHEN OPERATING EQUIPMENT
Donot choke carburetor to stopengine.
WHEN TRANSPORTING EQUIPMENT
Transport withfuel tank EMPTY.
WHEN STORING GASOLINE OR EQUIPMENT WiTH FUEL INTANK
Store away from furnaces,stoves, water beaters orother appliances
that have pilotlight or other ignition source because they can ignite
gasoline vapors.
