TRANSAXLE DRIVE BELT REMOVAL
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the mower housing. See the instructions on “How To
Remove The Mower Housing”.
3. Remove the variator brake arm the the top of the frame
channel (see Figure 39). The variator brake arm can be
accessed through the battery box opening under the seat.
4. Remove the variator Idler spring.
5. REMOVE the two screws on the right side of the variator
assembly bracket (see Figure 39). LOOSEN the two screws
on the left side of the variator assembly bracket.

6. Remove the shifter rod from the transaxle shifter link (see
Figure 40).

7. Remove the transaxle drive belt from the transaxle input
pulley (see Figure 41).
8. Slip the transaxle drive belt off of the variator idler pulley.
9. Slide the transaxle drive belt forward over the transaxle
input pulley (see Figure 41) and then over the transaxle
shifter link (see Figure 40).

10. Pull down on the variator assembly and remove the engine
drive belt from the variator pulley (see Figure 42). Then,
remove the transaxle drive belt from the variator pulley.
11. A correct replacement belt or assistance is available from an
Authorized Service Center in your area.

TRANSAXLE DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION
1. To install the transaxle drive belt, reverse the above steps.
2. Install the mower housing. See the instructions “How To Install
The Mower Housing”.
