Musicsonhas designedanddevelopedtheacousticsystemsDP-3andDP-4,
so that its response could be as linear as possible under anechoic
conditions,thatis,withoutexternaldeflexions.Theuserofthesesystems
shouldknowabouttheimportanceoftheinfluenceofthesurroundingswhere
theyareinstalledonthefinalsoundcharacteristics.
8.1.-DP-3SYSTEM
The DP-3 system has been developed to work with the DP-H enclosures
mounted above the DP-SB1 y DP-SB2 enclosures. Mounted in such a way, the
delay between both enclosures sums up to deliver a completely linear
response.
Remember that high frequencies are much more directional than low
frequencies.Ifthesourceofhighfrequenciesisinstalledbeloworatthe
audiencelevel,thisfrequencybandwillbeabsorbed.Audiencesituatedin
the rear rows will not be reached by the high frequencies. As a general
rule, the whole audience should have a direct view of the sound sources,
thus,theyshouldbeinstalledabout1mabovetheirheads.
ThisconditioncanbeaccomplishedbysettingupthreeenclosuresoftheDP-
3system,asindicatedinthismanual.
Ifyouownatleast2basicconfigurationsperchannel,matchthesidesof
the cabinets in order to avoid phase cancellations in the mid-high
frequenciesandtoincreasethesoundspread.
