  The screen might be blank on your NAiS Monitor because either the power is off, or, if only lamp and message parts are configured to the base screen, the value of the substitute reference device does not exist in substitute data. To resolve this, ensure the unit is properly powered according to specifications. Also, verify the address of the substitute reference device and the device values on the PLC side.

How to fix a dim screen on NAiS GT30 Monitor?

  A dim screen on your NAiS Monitor can be due to several reasons: the power voltage may be low, the contrast is set too low, or the backlight is off. Here's what you can do: 1. Check the capacity of the power supply unit to ensure it meets the monitor's power consumption needs. 2. Adjust the contrast via the system menu. 3. If the backlight is off due to the [Backlight Auto-off] setting, touching any area of the screen should light it up (unless a switch part is set on the touched area). You can change the backlight auto-off settings to prevent this.

Ensure that you specify the correct screen number.

  An unspecified screen appearing or trouble when switching screens on your NAiS Monitor can occur if the screen specification in the PLC screen setting, the GT main unit switch part, or the auto-paging is wrong; if the startup screen is specified in the GT configuration settings; or if an erroneous device or value is specified in the first word of the basic communication area word device. Specify the correct screen number. Check the start-up screen setting for the GT configuration settings in GTWIN. Delete unnecessary settings and re-transfer configuration data. Check the device content specified on the PLC side in the first word of the basic communication area. Do not use the basic communication area with ladder programs.

  If you cannot transfer data from GTWIN to your NAiS Monitor, it could be due to the screen transfer cable not being connected properly, or the PC and GT main unit COM port are not correctly connected. Ensure that the screen transfer cable is correctly and firmly connected. Connect to the TOOL port with the screen transfer cable.

What does it mean when my NAiS Monitor displays [Memory is Full]?

  The [Memory is Full] message on your NAiS Monitor indicates that the total capacity of transferred base screen data exceeds the monitor's capacity (384 kbyte capacity of the GT01, or 1.375 Mbytes for the GT11). Delete part of the base screen data so that the total capacity doesn’t exceed the limit. Data capacity can be checked by going to [View (V)]?[Memory Usage Conditions] on GTWIN menu bar. When the data capacity is not over the limit, invalid data could possibly be remaining in the GT main unit. When transferring data, do so after deleting the screen.

  If you're not hearing operating sounds when pressing the touch panel on your NAiS Monitor, it could be because the [Switch Sounds] setting under [Options] in the switch part attributes is set to [Disabled], or the [Touch Sounds] setting under [Setup] in the GT configuration settings in GTWIN is set to [Disabled]. To resolve this, change the setting to [Enabled] in either or both of these locations.

  If the date/time display is incorrect on your NAiS Monitor, it is likely that the PLC’s internal calendar timer used as a reference is incorrect. To correct this, adjust by rewriting the value in the PLC’s internal calendar timer.
