Why does my Napoleon ld410 have excessive flare-ups or uneven heat?
    • R
      Rachel MartinezAug 9, 2025
Excessive flare-ups or uneven heat on your Napoleon Gas grill can be caused by sear plates installed incorrectly, improper preheating, or excessive grease and ash buildup on the sear plates and in the drip pan. Make sure the sear plates are installed with the holes towards the front and the slots on the bottom. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Clean the sear plates and drip pan regularly and do not line the pan with aluminum foil.

What to do if my Napoleon ld410 Gas grill has low heat or low flame when the valve is turned to high?
    • T
      thompsonmeganAug 14, 2025
Low heat or flame on your Napoleon Gas grill may be due to a few reasons. If you're using propane, ensure you are following the correct lighting procedure, with all gas grill valves in the off position when the tank valve is turned on, and turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. For natural gas, the supply line might be undersized. For both propane and natural gas, improper preheating could be the cause. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Ensure the pipe is sized according to installation code.

What to do if the infrared burner on my Napoleon Gas grill (if equipped) flashes back?
    • S
      sheltonedwardAug 19, 2025
If the infrared burner on your Napoleon Gas grill flashes back, it could be due to ceramic tiles overloaded with grease drippings and buildup, clogged ports, the burner overheating from inadequate ventilation, a cracked ceramic tile, a leaking gasket surrounding the ceramic tile, or a weld failure in the burner housing. Turn the burner off and let it cool for at least two minutes. Relight the burner and burn on high for at least five minutes, or until the ceramic tiles are evenly glowing red. Ensure that no more than 75% of the grill surface is covered by objects or accessories. Allow the burner to cool and inspect very closely for cracks. If any cracks are found, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer to order a replacement burner assembly.

Why do burners on my Napoleon ld410 burn with a yellow flame and a gas smell?
    • K
      Kimberly MatthewsAug 25, 2025
A yellow flame and the smell of gas from your Napoleon Gas grill burners indicate a possible spider web or other debris, or improper air shutter adjustment. You should thoroughly clean the burner by removing it. Open the air shutter slightly according to the combustion air adjustment instructions. This must be done by a qualified gas installer.

What to do if burners will not cross light each other on my Napoleon Gas grill?
    • S
      Savannah VazquezAug 29, 2025

Why do flames lift away from burner on my Napoleon ld410 Gas grill?
    • K
      Kelly AdamsSep 3, 2025
