Why is there low heat or low flame on my Napoleon Grill when the valve is turned to high?
    • P
      Pamela SmithAug 20, 2025
The low heat or flame on your Napoleon Grill could be due to several reasons: * **For propane grills:** It may be due to an improper lighting procedure. Ensure you follow the lighting procedure carefully. All gas grill valves must be in the off position when the tank valve is turned on. Turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. Refer to the lighting instructions for the correct procedure. * **For natural gas grills:** It may be an undersized supply line. The pipe must be sized according to the installation code. * **For both propane and natural gas grills:** It might be due to improper preheating. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes.

Why won't the rear and side burners on my Napoleon LEX 730 Gas grill light with the igniter?
    • L
      Laura CaseAug 22, 2025
If the rear and side burners on your Napoleon Gas grill light with a match but not the igniter, the issue may be: * A dead or incorrectly installed battery. Replace it with a premium heavy-duty battery. * A loose electrode wire or switch terminal wires. Check that the electrode wire is firmly pushed onto the terminal on the back of the igniter and that the lead wires from the module to the ignition switch are firmly pushed onto their terminals. * Lifting flames on the burner. Close the air shutter slightly.

Why does my Napoleon LEX 730 Gas grill have excessive flare-ups or uneven heat?
    • E
      Ellen CoxAug 26, 2025
Excessive flare-ups and uneven heat in your Napoleon Gas grill can be due to several reasons: * Sear plates might be installed incorrectly – ensure they are installed with the holes towards the front and the slots on the bottom. * Improper preheating – preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. * Excessive grease and ash build-up – clean the sear plates and drip pan regularly. Avoid lining the pan with aluminum foil.

The low heat or low flame on your Napoleon Gas grill can be caused by: * Improper lighting procedure (for Universal Liquefied Petroleum Gas). Turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. * Undersized supply line (for natural gas). The pipe must be sized according to the installation code. * Improper preheating (for both gases). What causes the infrared burner on my Napoleon Gas grill to flash back?
    • M
      Mark MyersAug 31, 2025
The infrared burner on your Napoleon Gas grill may flash back due to: * Ceramic tiles overloaded with grease drippings and build-up. * Clogged ports. * Burner overheated due to inadequate ventilation. * Cracked ceramic tile. * Leaking gasket surrounding the ceramic tile, or a weld failure in the burner housing. To resolve this: 1. Turn the burner off and allow it to cool for at least two minutes. 2. Relight the burner and burn on high for at least five minutes or until the ceramic tiles are evenly glowing red. 3. Ensure that no more than 75% of the grill surface is covered by objects or accessories. Allow the burner to cool and inspect it closely for cracks. If any cracks are found, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer to order a replacement burner assembly.

Why are the burners on my Napoleon LEX 730 Gas grill burning with a yellow flame and a gas smell?
    • C
      crystal95Sep 2, 2025
A yellow flame and gas smell from the burners on your Napoleon Gas grill could indicate a spider web or other debris, or improper air shutter adjustment. Thoroughly clean the burner by removing it. Open the air shutter slightly according to combustion air adjustment instructions. (This must be done by a qualified gas installer.)

Why does the 'paint' appear to be peeling inside the lid of my Napoleon LEX 730 Gas grill?
    • M
      Miss Brittany GomezSep 4, 2025
The peeling appearance inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Gas grill is not a defect. The finish is porcelain and does not peel. The peeling is caused by hardened grease, which dries into paint-like shards that flake off. Regular cleaning will prevent this.

    Travis RobertsSep 6, 2025
What causes the burners on my Napoleon Gas grill to not cross light each other?
    • S
      Stacey FoxSep 6, 2025
