KORE 2 – 107
3.7 Browser: Accessing the sound repository
The next section deals with a very important aspect of KORE 2: the
B
rowSer
. First we will talk about the basic structure and functions of its
main elements. Next will be the part about actually nding sounds and
loading them into KORE 2. The last section of this chapter deals with
setting up and creating your own attriButeS.
The B
rowSer
is at the heart of KORE 2’s approach to sound management. It
provides you with a consistent and easy to use interface for managing your
Sounds, Effects, Performances, plug-ins and MIDI-les. Apart from looking
at your uSer SoundS FolderS that are dened via KORE 2’s Options (see
chapter 3.3.5) the important concept in the Browser are the a
ttriButeS
. The
huge KoreSound library has been completely categorized and the Sounds
have been tagged with a comprehensive set of attriButeS. This makes it
possible to nd the Sounds you need with just a few clicks in the BrowSer.
