Function Description:

Once the cat has exited and a 15-minute delay has passed (to allow clumps to form), a rake mechanism moves forward and backward to scoop waste clumps into a designated waste receptacle. If the cat re-enters the box before the 15-minute delay, the timer resets, delaying the rake action. The unit is designed to work with hard-clumping cat litter. It features a safety bar that stops and reverses the rake if it encounters an object during the cleaning cycle. If a blockage is encountered, the rake will attempt to clear it up to five times before returning to its home position and indicating a FAULT mode with a blinking red light. The litter box also includes nighttime lights that activate when the nighttime light sensor detects low light conditions, providing added visibility.

- Monthly Cleaning:
- Rake Removal & Cleaning: The rake is removable for thorough cleaning. It can be washed with warm water and mild detergent. The teeth design on the Litter Scoop & Rake Cleaner can be used for quick cleaning between the rake teeth.
- Litter Tray Cleaning: The litter tray can be removed for cleaning. After disposing of used litter, it can be wiped with a damp cloth or fully immersed in water and washed with mild detergent. The manual advises against spraying, soaking, or immersing the Top Housing in water.
- Rake Track Guide Cleaning: The rake track guides on the top housing should be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth if litter is caked on, to ensure proper rake function.
- Litter Tray Surface Preparation: Before reassembling, the inside of the litter tray and the removable rake can be sprayed with non-stick cooking spray or silicone spray and wiped with a soft, dry cloth to prevent clumps from adhering.
