The more tasks you are carrying out simultaneously, the more ’pages’ you will see on the multi-task icon; it could show
two or three pages depending on the amount of simultaneous multi-tasking being performed by your e313.
To Start/Switch Task During Another Task
High-Speed Data Communications
Your e313 supports high-speed data communication rates for your PC via a USB connection. Connect the supplied USB
cable between your e313 and a PC and install the 313 USB driver from the "Utilities/Tools" section of your e313 CD-ROM.
Then to discover how this technology can be used with your e313, please refer to Connections section on page 96.
The ability to use your e313 as a modem to access the Internet is an operator-dependent service. Please check with 3 to
ensure that this service is available.
A dial-up connection is possible in the 3G areas and also in the 2G area. However, the speed of communication is faster
in the 3G areas than in the 2G area.
Messaging
Your e313 supports four types of messaging services: Text message, Multimedia message, Video message and Email.
To Do this
1 Go back to the Home screen Press the Start key.
2 Start another task Enter the phone number to make a call.
Press the MENU key and select Messages to start the message
function.
Press the SK2 (Contact) key or Up key to start the contact list function.
Press the triangle key to access 3’s multimedia services.
Press the MENU key to display Main Menu.
3 Switch to another task Press and hold the MENU key.
The taskbar is displayed.
Select the required task by pressing Left and Right keys and the Enter
key to switch to the selected task.
4 End tasks End a task: Select the icon on the multi-task bar to end and press SK1
(End task).
End all tasks: Press SK2 (End all).
When only the Home screen icon is displayed, which means no tasks
are active, press End key to end the multi-task function.
