Arrangement
• Arrange one set of PerforCache per disk array.
SSD
• When installing PerforCache, at least one SSD is required per disk array.
• When configuring second cache, select one from the following two types: read cache dedicated
or read cache/write cache/persistent write (multiple purpose).
§ Read cache dedicated: one or two SSDs per disk array.
§ Read cache/write cache/persistent write: two or four SDDs per disk array.
Installation/Configuration Considerations
• It is possible to install PerforCache later on a pre-existing storage array that was initially
configured without PerforCache .
• When configuring second cache, it is possible to use spare SSDs which were used for another
purpose. For example, unbind pool and re-configure as second cache.
