1Preface

This product is designed to meet the requirements
of relevant EC directives. To maintain this status, all
installation, maintenance, and repair is to be done
by qualified personnel using only Nederman original
spare parts and accessories. Contact the nearest au-
thorized distributor or Nederman for advice on tech-
nical service and obtaining spare parts. If there are
any damaged or missing parts when the product is de-
livered, notify the carrier and the local Nederman rep-
resentative immediately.

CAUTION!Risk of equipment damage
• The Hose Reel 883 must not be used for max.
temperature and max. pressure at the same
time.
• Ensure that the reel and the fitted hose are
suitable for the desired media and applica-
tion.
* High pressure washing.
** Use only with glycol/alcohol-based fluids according
to EG 1272/2008 category 3. Must not be used with
flammable liquid.
• Check max. working pressure (MPa) on the type la-
bel of the reel. Ambient temperature: -10 °C - +60
°C.
4Installation
See Figure2 and Figure3 for mounting examples. The
Hose Reel 883 can be wall-, floor- or ceiling mounted.
NOTE!
• Maximum installation height above floor
level is 4 m.
• The lifetime of the hose can be affected neg-
atively by chemicals and strong UV- or heat
radiation.
• Choose a way of mounting to avoid excessive bend-
ing of the hose against the outlet rollers (A).
• Select a level surface on which to mount the Hose
Reel 883 and use the template on the side of the
packing to mark the holes. Ensure that suitable fix-
ing bolts are used and that they are secure. The
bolts must each stand a torque force of minimum
3800 N.
4.1Hose fitting
See Figure8 and Figure9.
1 Place the Hose Reel 883 on a suitable working
bench.
NOTE!
Ensure that there is no tension in the
spring.
2 Remove the plastic cover. Feed the hose through
the reel outlet and attach it to the nipple on the
drum shaft. Replace the plastic cover.
3 Mount the hose-stop close to the outer limit of the
hose.
4 Reel the hose on to the reel by turning the spring-
loaded hub with a tommy bar, see Figure6 item
5. Once the hose has been wound on to the drum
ensure that the right tension has been obtained
by turning the hub a further 3 revolutions for 3/8"
hose or 6 revolutions for 1/2" hose.
5 Fit the inlet hose, min. length of 1.0 m.
