This document provides installation and operating instructions for the Neff R8581X2ES tumble dryer, manufactured by Constructa. It covers various aspects of the appliance, from its intended use and safety guidelines to detailed operational procedures and maintenance tips.
Function Description
The Neff R8581X2ES is a tumble dryer designed for private domestic use, specifically for drying and freshening up domestic laundry that has been washed with water and is suitable for tumble drying. It features a heat pump system, allowing for efficient drying at lower temperatures. The dryer includes a range of programs tailored for different fabric types and desired dryness levels, as well as special functions like "Anti-Crease" and "Low-Heat Drying." It can be operated with a condensation container or connected to a drain hose for direct discharge of condensation water. The appliance is equipped with a stainless-steel moisture sensor to detect remaining moisture in the laundry and adjust drying time accordingly, except for timed programs.

- Duración (Drying time): For timed programs, adjustable between 20 minutes and 3 hours in 10-minute increments.
- Terminado en/em (Ready in): Delays the program start by 1 to 24 hours.
- Menos (Anti-crease): Moves laundry at regular intervals for 60 or 120 minutes after drying to prevent creasing.
- Delicado (Gentle Dry): Reduces temperature for delicate fabrics.
- 4)) (Signal): Activates/deactivates an audible signal at the end of the program.
- 3 seg (Childproof lock 3 sec.): Activates/deactivates the childproof lock by pressing and holding the "Ready in" and "Drying time" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- Inicio/Pausa+Carga (Start/Pause+Reload): Starts, pauses, or allows adding/removing laundry during a program.

- Energy Saving Mode: The dryer automatically switches off after a prolonged period of inactivity to save energy, both before a program starts and after it ends.
- Program Interruption: Laundry can be added or removed, and programs can be changed or cancelled at any time during drying. If cancelling, laundry must be removed immediately and spread out to dissipate heat.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the dryer's performance and longevity.
- Fluff Filter Cleaning: The two-part fluff filter must be cleaned after each drying cycle to maintain optimal airflow, prevent prolonged drying times, and reduce energy consumption. Instructions include removing fluff from the door and filter, rinsing the filter under warm water, and reinserting it.
- Condensate Container Emptying: If not connected to a drain hose, the condensate container must be emptied after each drying cycle or when full. The manual provides steps for pulling out, emptying, and reinserting the container.
- Condensate Container Filter Cleaning: The filter within the condensate container, which cleans water used in the automatic cleaning cycle, should be checked regularly for deposits and cleaned under warm running water or in a dishwasher.
- Moisture Sensor Cleaning: The stainless-steel moisture sensor should be cleaned regularly with a coarse sponge to remove limescale or detergent residues that can impair its function and drying results. Abrasives and steel wool should not be used.
- General Cleaning: The dryer and control panel should be cleaned with only water and a soft, damp cloth. Detergent residues, prewash sprays, or cleaning agents containing solvents should not be used, nor should high-pressure cleaners or steam jet cleaners.
- Automatic Heat Exchanger Cleaning: The dryer features an automatic heat exchanger cleaning function, indicated by "selfCleaning" on the display. This is not a fault and the condensation container should not be pulled out during this process.
The manual emphasizes safety warnings regarding electric shock, fire, explosions, poisoning, injury, and material damage. It also provides environmental protection guidelines, including proper disposal of packaging and the appliance, and details about the fluorinated greenhouse gas (R407C) used in the heat exchanger. Energy-saving tips are provided, such as spinning laundry before drying, loading the dryer to maximum capacity, and ensuring adequate ventilation.
