Overview

This document is the user manual for a Neue Washing Machine.

Function Description

The Neue Washing Machine is designed for household use and similar applications, such as staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast environments. It automatically adjusts water levels based on the type and quantity of washing, aiming to reduce energy consumption and washing times. The machine offers various wash programs and options to cater to different fabric types and soiling levels.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Water Pressure: Minimum 0.05 MPa / Maximum 0.8 MPa (0.05 MPa dispenses approximately 1 litre of water in 10 seconds).
  • Spin RPM: Refer to the rating plate for specific spin speeds.
  • Power Input / Power Current Fuse Amp / Supply Voltage: Refer to the rating plate for these details.
  • Maximum Load Capacity: Depends on the model (refer to the control panel and program table).
  • Adjustable Feet: Allows height adjustment from 820 mm to a maximum of 840 mm.
  • Drain Hose Height: Should be inserted into a drain pipe between 50 cm and 85 cm above the floor.
  • Electrical System: Must be earthed and comply with all applicable laws. The socket must be compatible with the appliance's plug.
  • WEEE Compliance: Marked according to European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

Usage Features

Program Selection and Operation

  • Program Selector: Turn the selector to the desired program. The display will show program settings.
  • START/PAUSE Button: Press to start a cycle. Keep pressed for about 2 seconds to pause. Press again to restart.
  • DELAY START Button: Allows delaying the start of a cycle for up to 24 hours in 1-hour increments.
  • TEMPERATURE SELECTION Button: Adjusts the wash temperature. Cannot exceed the maximum allowed for the program. All indicators off mean a cold wash.
  • SPIN SPEED Button: Reduces the maximum spin speed or cancels the spin cycle. Cannot increase speed beyond the program's maximum.
  • RAPID / STAIN LEVEL Button:
    • RAPID: Active for 14', 30', and 44' programs, allowing selection of these durations.
    • STAIN LEVEL: Choose between 3 levels of wash intensity, modifying program length based on soiling (available on some programs).
  • OPTIONS Button: Provides three options:
    • EXTRA RINSE: Adds an extra rinse at the end of the cycle, useful for sensitive skin or heavily soiled items.
    • HYGIENE +: Activated at 60°C, maintains the same temperature for the whole wash for deep cleaning.
    • EASY IRON: Minimizes creases by eliminating intermediate spins or reducing the intensity of the last one.
  • Digital Display: Shows cycle duration, options, and machine status.
  • DOOR LOCKED Indicator Light: Illuminates when the door is closed. A safety device prevents immediate opening after a cycle; wait 2 minutes until the light goes out.
  • Kg LOAD Indicator Light: Active on Cotton and Synthetics programs. During the first minutes, an intelligent sensor weighs laundry and adjusts cycle time, water, and electricity consumption. It also monitors wash load, adjusts water amount, determines cycle length, controls rinsing, adjusts drum rotation, and recognizes excessive suds.
  • KEY LOCK: Press TEMPERATURE SELECTION and SPIN SPEED buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to lock keys, preventing accidental changes. Repeat to unlock or turn off the appliance.

Detergent Drawer

  • Split into three compartments:
    • "1": For prewash detergent.
    • "8": For special additives, softeners, starch fragrances, etc. (only use liquid products; machine automatically doses during the last rinse).
    • "2": For main wash detergent.
  • Some detergents come with their own dispenser for direct placement in the drum.

Practical Hints

  • Load Tips: Remove metallic objects, button pillow cases, close zips, tie loose belts, remove curtain hooks, read labels, pretreat stains. Avoid spin cycle for rugs/heavy clothing.
  • Maximise Load Size: Use recommended maximum load size for energy, water, and time savings (up to 50% energy saving with full loads).
  • Pre-wash: Only for heavily soiled laundry. Avoid for slight to normal soiling to save detergent, time, water, and energy.
  • Hot Wash: Pretreat stains or soak dried-in stains to reduce the need for hot washes, saving energy.
  • Drying Programs (Washer-Dryers): Select high spin speed to reduce water content before drying, saving energy and time.
  • Dosing Detergent: Use detergents suitable for machine washing. Select based on fabric type, color, soiling level, and temperature. Follow manufacturer instructions for correct dosage to avoid waste and environmental impact.
  • Ecological Detergents: May cause cloudier rinse water (due to zeolites), white powder on laundry (zeolites not absorbed by fabric), foam in last rinse (due to anionic surfactants). Consider using less detergent or a maintenance wash with a proprietary cleaner.
  • Excessive Foam: Too much detergent can prevent correct cycle execution and affect washing/rinsing quality.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning the Appliance's Exterior

  • Disconnect from power supply.
  • Clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasives, alcohol, and diluents.

Drawer Cleaning

  • Regularly clean to avoid detergent/additive residue accumulation.
  • Remove gently, clean under running water, and replace.

Cleaning the Pump Filter

  • The filter traps larger residues (buttons, coins) that could block the draining system.
  • Check and clean 5-6 times a year.
  • Disconnect from power supply.
  • Ensure drum is empty.
  • Place an absorbent cloth under the filter before unscrewing (some water will come out).
  • Turn filter counter-clockwise to the limit stop, remove, clean, and replace by turning clockwise until locked horizontally.

Suggestions for Moves or Prolonged Disuse

  • If stored in a non-heated room, remove all water residues from pipes.
  • Disconnect from power supply.
  • Detach drain tube, clip to the rear, and lower to drain water into a bowl.
  • Secure drain tube.
  • Keep door glass and gasket clean.

Troubleshooting

  • Error Codes (E2, E3, E4, E7, or LED flashes): Refer to the troubleshooting table for causes and solutions (e.g., water supply, drain, foam, door issues).
  • General Anomalies: Table provides solutions for issues like "machine does not work/start," "water leaked," "machine does not spin," and "strong vibrations/noises."
  • Warranty: Covers electrical or mechanical faults due to manufacturer's act or omission. Faults caused by external factors, misuse, or not following instructions may incur a charge.
  • Spare Parts: Use original spare parts available from Authorised Customer Service Centres.
