Overview

The Ausclimate WDH-1920EA Dehumidifier is designed to provide healthy indoor climate solutions by efficiently removing moisture from the air. This user-friendly appliance operates on a voltage of 220-240V~50Hz and has a rated power consumption of 390 W. It boasts a dehumidification capacity of 25 L/D (liters per day) at 30°C and 80% relative humidity, making it suitable for various room sizes. The dehumidifier uses R290 refrigerant gas, with a charge amount of 0.115 kg, and has a minimum rated airflow of 148 m³/h. Its compact dimensions of 328 x 516 x 219 mm (WxHxD) and a weight of 12.6 kg make it easy to place and move. The unit is SAA approved with Certificate No.: SAA-210779-EA and operates effectively within a working temperature range of 5°C to 32°C, protected by a T.1 A.L 250V fuse.

Function Description:

The dehumidifier works by drawing in moist air through the moist air intake, processing it to remove humidity, and then expelling dry air through the dehumidified dry air vent. The collected water is stored in a drain bucket, which can be manually emptied or connected for continuous drainage.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: WDH-1920EA
  • Voltage/Frequency: AC 220-240V~50Hz
  • Rated Power Consumption: 390 W
  • Capacity: 25 L/D (at 30°C 80%RH)
  • Refrigerant: R290 / 0.115 kg
  • SAA Approval: Certificate No.: SAA-210779-EA
  • Dimensions (WxHxD): 328 x 516 x 219 mm
  • Weight: 12.6 kg
  • Working Temperature: 5°C-32°C
  • Fuse: T.1 A.L 250V
  • Minimum Rated Airflow: 148 m³/h
  • Maximum Refrigerant Charge Amount: 0.3 kg

Usage Features:

The dehumidifier is equipped with a control panel that includes a humidity set key, bucket full lamp, defrost lamp, and power button.

  • Power On/Off: The power button allows for easy activation and deactivation of the unit.
  • Humidity Setting: The humidity set key allows users to select the desired humidity level. The sequence for setting humidity is 60% -> 50% -> 40% -> CONTINUE -> 60%. The machine will operate until the room humidity reaches the set level, then stop, and resume operation if the humidity rises above the set point.
  • Bucket Full Indicator: A "Bucket Full" lamp illuminates when the water tank is full, and the dehumidifier automatically stops operating. Users must remove and empty the water tank, then place it back in the proper position for the unit to resume operation.
  • Defrost Function: During low temperatures (below 20°C), frost may accumulate on the condensing coil, reducing efficiency. The unit automatically enters a periodic defrost mode, indicated by the defrost lamp. The defrost time varies based on room temperature and humidity.
  • Continuous Drainage: For extended operation without manual emptying, the dehumidifier offers a continuous drainage option. A hose with an inner diameter of 13mm can be connected to the continuous drainage outlet. The drain hose must be placed horizontally below the level of the drainage hole, avoiding uneven ground and kinking, to ensure proper water flow.
  • Portability: The unit features roll castors, making it easy to move around the house.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of the dehumidifier.

  • Outer Case Cleaning: The exterior can be wiped with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then dried with a dry cloth. Avoid immersing the unit in any liquid or using harsh abrasives or solvents.
  • Air Filter Cleaning: The air filter, located behind the rear grill, should be cleaned at least once every two weeks to remove dust and impurities. It can be pulled outwards from the top for removal. Cleaning can be done with a vacuum cleaner or by washing with clean water and drying thoroughly before replacement.
  • Storage: When storing the appliance, ensure it is in a well-ventilated area where the room size corresponds to the specified operation area. Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction. Do not store the appliance covered with plastic bags.
  • Transportation: The appliance should be transported upright, and any internal water should be emptied before moving. After transportation, do not turn the appliance on for at least one hour.

Safety Precautions and Warnings:

  • General Safety: The appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities without supervision. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  • Power Cord: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or similarly qualified persons. Do not pull the power cord, fold it, or use multiple sockets. Ensure the plug is clean, fully, and firmly inserted into the socket. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Placement: Do not place the appliance near heating appliances, on uneven ground (to avoid shaking, noise, and water leakage), or in rooms containing sulfur, gas, or oil. Keep flammable substances or pressurized containers at least 50cm away. Maintain a minimum distance of 20cm from walls to ensure proper heat dissipation. Do not place anything on top of the control panel or over the air inlet/outlet.
  • Refrigerant Safety (R290): The appliance contains R290 refrigerant gas, which is flammable. Do not pierce or burn the appliance or any components in the refrigerant circuit. Ensure the appliance is stored in a well-ventilated area with a surface area greater than 4 m². Avoid continuous operating sources of ignition (e.g., open flames, gas appliances, electrical heaters) in the room where the appliance is used.
  • Repairs: Repairs must only be undertaken by authorized service centers. Do not attempt to disassemble the dehumidifier for your own safety.
  • Disposal: Waste electrical products should be recycled according to local authority or retailer advice, not disposed of with household waste.

Emergency:

In case of a problem, switch off and unplug the unit immediately. Contact Ausclimate (www.ausclimate.com.au) for troubleshooting and support.
