Why does my NewAir G56 have a burning smell?

  A burning smell from your NewAir Heater could be due to a few reasons: * During manufacturing, a drop of oil may have fallen on the heating coil. This should evaporate quickly and not reoccur. Ensure the room is well-ventilated. * Combustible materials might be too close to the heater. Check and remove any combustible materials within 0.9 meters (3 ft.) of the heater. * There might not be enough space between the heater and the walls. Ensure a minimum clearance of 5.5 inches (14 cm) from both sides and the rear of the heater to adjacent walls. Reposition the heater if needed.

  If your NewAir Heater isn't heating, there are several potential causes: * The overheat protection may have temporarily deactivated the heater. To resolve this, turn the heater off, unplug it, and allow it to cool. Inspect and remove any objects on or near the heater. Wait 30 minutes before plugging it back in. * The room temperature may have reached the thermostat setting. To increase the room temperature, adjust the thermostat control knob to a higher setting by turning it clockwise. * The heater may not be properly plugged into a 240V grounded outlet. Ensure the unit is off, then plug it into a suitable outlet and try turning it on again. * A breaker or fuse may have tripped. Check your electrical box to confirm. This can happen if the outlet is shared with other high-consumpti...
