Car Panel Inspection Disabled, CP INSP. DISABLED
Description: Car Panel inspection operation has been disabled.
Car Reaction: The car cannot be run on car panel inspection operation.
Tro ubleshooting:
1. Check for any car status that might prevent car panel inspection operation, e.g. earthquake.
2. Check for the Stuck Inspection Input Fault.
3. Check all inspection buttons (Enable, Up, Down) and verify that none are stuck in the ON position.
Car Panel Inspection Enabled
Description: Car Panel inspection operation which was previously disabled is now enabled.
Car Panel Inspection Inputs OK
Description: One or more previously stuck cartop inspection inputs (Enable, Up, Down) have been deacti-
vated (see Stuck Car Panel Inspection Input message).
Car Panel Inspection Operation, Car Panel Inspection, Car Panel Insp.
Description: Car has been placed in inspection using a (typically) keyed switch on car operation panel.
Car Reaction: If running, car makes an emergency stop and is taken off passenger service. Car uses inspec-
tion pattern settings and can only be moved using car panel inspection key switches.
Tro ubleshooting:
1. Check the car panel inspection switch and related inputs.
2. The Car Panel Inspection input is Normally High.
Car Shut down due to Emergency Power Operation with no EPM (Activated)
Description: A controller that is part of MCE’s network emergency power manager (EPM) is shut down due to
its emergency power input being active (no longer on commercial power) while there is no EPM manager.
Car Reaction: All calls are canceled, the car makes an immediate stop. The car remains shut down until an
EPM is detected.
Tro ubleshooting:
1. Verify that an EPM manager is up and running and properly communicating with the group that the car
belongs to. And that the EPM manager option is enabled on that group.
2. Verify the emergency power configuration on the EPM manager.
Car Shut down due to Emergency Power Operation with no EPM (Deactivated)
Description: A controller on emergency power that is part of MCE’s network emergency power manager
(EPM) has detected the presence of the EPM manager and is no longer shut down.
Car Reaction: Car get its emergency power command from its group which gets them from the EPM man-
ager.
Car shut down due to emergency power operation with no supervisor (Activated)
Description: iControl has detected that an emergency power condition exists and has not established com-
munication with the emergency power supervisor (typically a group controller).
Car Reaction: Car is not allowed to move to prevent overloading emergency power generator. If car is mov-
ing when event occurs, car will make an emergency stop. Motor contactor and brake contactor are immedi-
ately dropped. The car is also shut down (calls and all other demands are canceled).
Tro ubleshooting:
1. If condition exists and system is NOT operating under emergency power, refer to job prints and verify
wiring to controller Emergency Power status input.
2. Verify correct input state (high/low) on iView/Car Operation/Emergency Power/EPI Input setting.
3. Check group to car communication.
Car shut down due to emergency power operation with no supervisor (Deactivated)
Description: Emergency power condition, without communication with group supervisor, has been resolved.
Either communication with supervisor has been established or emergency power condition has resolved.
Car Reaction: While emergency power is in effect, car is allowed to move as determined by group controller
(iCue). Car selection for recall and emergency power operation is user-determined (iView/Car Operation/
Emergency Power and iCue iView/Emergency Power Configuration screens).
