Important: Don’t use detergent or soap to clean the pi ring, or expose it to water above 80°C.
Component replacement
You need to replace the pi ring regularly, which is
based on its age or the number of hours you have
used the Optimiser. The pi ring should be replaced
once a year or after 200 hours of use. See the
‘Hours counter’ section for instructions.
When you’re using the Optimiser, the rotor should
be moving with a rocking motion inside the pi ring.
If the rotor no longer makes a rocking motion, it
needs to be replaced.
Trouble shooting
The Optimiser is making unusual noises
• Check to see the rotor is in the pi ring.
• Check to see the pi ring is properly locked into
the jug.
The Optimiser will not operate when the ‘start/stop’ button is pushed
• Check to make sure the Optimiser is plugged in.
• If your household power has been interrupted,
you might have to unplug the Optimiser and
then
plug it in again. Press the power ‘On/Off’
button and press the ‘Mode’ and ‘Start/Stop’
buttons again.
The optimiser is running but the water is not moving in the jug
• Make sure there is enough water in the jug.
• Check to see if there are any foreign objects in
the jug.
• Make sure the silicone rubber ring is placed
properly on the rotor.
The water does not taste good
• If you’re using the Optimiser for the first time
(or haven’t used it for a while), follow the
procedure described in the ‘Before you use the
Optimiser for the first time’ section.
• Make sure you use PiMag
®
water from the
Nikken PiMag
®
Water System.
The water is discoloured and has particles in it
• Make sure the pi ring is clean. See the cleaning
instructions in the ‘Maintenance’ section.
• If you’re using the Optimiser for the first
time (or haven’t used it for a while), water
discolouration may occur. See the cleaning
instructions for the unit in the ‘Before you
use the Optimiser for the first time’ section.
Drinking and storing optimised water
You can save optimised PiMag
®
water so you can
use it later, whilst maintaining its quality. You
can refrigerate the optimised water as a way of
preserving freshness and taste.
