_1_ During Recording
While pictures are being recorded, the number of exposures remaining display will blink, Do not
open the battery chamber/memory card slot cover,
Removing the memory card or the battery du ring recording may result in loss of data or in damage
to the recorded data, camera or card,
_1_ Autofocus
Autofocus may not perform as expected in the following situations. In some rare cases, the subject
may not be in _cus despite the fact that the _cus area or the focus indicator glows green:
Subject is very dark
Objects of sharply differing brightness are included in the scene (e.g. the sun is behind the subject _,
and is in deep shadow)
No contrast between the subject and surroundings (e.g. when the subject is standing in front of a o
white wall, wearing a white shirt)
Several objects are at different distances from the camera (e.g. the subject is inside a cage) __

Subject is moving rapidly
In these situations, try pressing the shutter release button halfway again to refocus, several times if o_
necessary, If the subject is still not in focus, select auto mode and use focus lock (_ 2% to take the
picture by first focusing on an object that is the same distance from the camera as the desired
sub;ect. _-

[] Blink Warning °_
If the Did someone blink? screen is displayed shortly after the picture is taken in the Face Prbrity,
someone's eyes may have been closed during the shot.
Human subjects with eyes closed will be framed by a yellow border in the Did someone blink?
screen.
To return to the shooting mode, press _ or press the shutter release button halfway.

[] AF-assist Illuminator and Flash
If the subject is poorly lit, the AF assist illuminator (_ 104) may light by pressing the shutter release
button halfway, or the flash (_ 30) may fire by pressing the shutter release button all the way down.
