CHANGING THE FOCUSING SCREEN
Nineteen different types of focusing screens are available
for use with the Nikon F2AS Photomic camera, each designed
to meet specific focusing requirements. The Nikon Type K
screen comes with the camera as standard equipment.
To change the focusing screen, first remove the finder as
Described on the preceding page. Then, turn the camera body
upside-down and press the finder release button a second
time to release the screen.
To mount a screen, simply place it in position with the flat
side facing downward and the “Nikon” mark to the front of
the camera. Then, press the finder release button and the
screen will drop into place.
Caution: When changing the focusing screen, be careful not to touch
the optical surfaces. When removing the screen, it is advisable to
place a clean, dry cloth over the palm of the hand to catch the screen
