WARNING: Always unplug the base before cleaning.
Dishwasher: The bowl, lid, disc, and blade
assemblies are top-rack dishwasher safe.
Ensure the blade assembly is removed from
the bowl before placing in the dishwasher.
Exercise care when handling blade assemblies.
Hand-washing: Wash bowl, lid, disc, and blade
assemblies in warm, soapy water. Exercise care
when washing the blade assemblies. Use a
dishwashing utensil with a handle to avoid direct
hand contact with blades. Rinse and air-dry
thoroughly.
Intelligent preset programs combine unique blending and pausing patterns
that do the work for you. Once an Auto-iQ program is selected, it will start immediately
and automatically stop when processing is complete. To stop processing before
the end of a program, press the currently active button again.
NOTE: Program run times vary from a few seconds to up a minute.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT run the unit on HIGH if using the dough blade.
The unit is NOT intended to crush ice. Refer to the warnings on pages 4–6 in the Owner's Guide.

CLEANING
LOW and HIGH: When selected, each
of these speeds runs continuously
for 60 seconds. They do not work in
conjunction with any Auto-iQ programs.
PULSE: Oers greater control of pulsing and
processing. Operates only when PULSE is
pressed. Use short presses for short pulses
and long presses for long pulses.
CHOP
Timed pulses and pauses give you
consistent chopping results. Run program
once for a large chop, twice for a small chop
and three times if you prefer to mince.
DOUGH
Ideal for creating delicious dough,
from pie to pizza to cookie doughs.
NOTE: Use PULSE to add mix-ins, such as
chocolate chips or raisins, after dough
program has completed.
PUREE
(Not available on all models)
Create anything from silky-smooth
sauces to the perfect hummus.

The Ninja Professional Food Processor with Auto-iQ is a versatile kitchen appliance designed for a range of food preparation tasks, including chopping, pureeing, kneading dough, slicing, and shredding. It features intelligent preset programs (Auto-iQ) that automate processing, as well as manual control options for greater flexibility.

Function Description:

The food processor is equipped with various components and blade assemblies to perform different functions:

• Chopping & Dough Blade Assemblies:

  • Chopping Blade Assembly: Used for chopping ingredients. The Auto-iQ "CHOP" program provides timed pulses and pauses for consistent results, allowing for large chops (run once), small chops (run twice), or mincing (run three times).
  • Dough Blade Assembly: Specifically designed for creating doughs, such as for pies, pizzas, and cookies. The Auto-iQ "DOUGH" program automates this process. For adding mix-ins like chocolate chips or raisins, the "PULSE" function should be used after the dough program is complete.
  • Puree Function: (Available on some models) The Auto-iQ "PUREE" program allows for creating silky-smooth sauces and hummus.

• Reversible Slicing/Shredding Disc:

  • This disc is reversible, with one side labeled "Slicer" and the other "Shredder."
  • Slicing: Used for uniformly slicing a variety of ingredients, such as fresh vegetables.
  • Shredding: Used for shredding ingredients like cheeses and vegetables.
  • Preparation for Slicing/Shredding: Ingredients should be trimmed to 4-5 inches or slightly over the height of the feed chute. Both ends of ingredients should be cut off to create flat surfaces, and tapered ingredients (like carrots) should be trimmed for symmetry. Larger ingredients (e.g., potatoes) may need to be cut in half lengthwise. It's important not to cut ingredients smaller than the feed chute size. For cheese, it must be well chilled, and frozen cheese should not be sliced or shredded.
  • Programs for Slicing/Shredding: When using the Slicing/Shredding Disc, only the Auto-iQ "DISC" program or the manual "LOW" setting should be selected.

Important Technical Specifications:

• Bowl Capacity: The Precision Processor Bowl has a capacity of 9 cups.
• Power: The unit is powered by an electrical base.
• Auto-iQ Programs: CHOP, PUREE (on some models), DOUGH, DISC. These programs combine unique blending and pausing patterns and automatically stop when complete. They can be stopped early by pressing the active button again.
• Manual Programs:
  • LOW and HIGH: These speeds run continuously for 60 seconds and do not work with Auto-iQ programs. The "HIGH" setting should not be used with the dough blade.
  • PULSE: Offers greater control for pulsing and processing. It operates only when the button is pressed, allowing for short or long pulses depending on press duration.
• Safety: The unit is not intended to crush ice. Warnings are provided regarding the sharpness of the Chopping Blade Assembly and the importance of removing it before pouring to prevent laceration.

Usage Features:

• Quick Assembly: The manual provides clear, step-by-step instructions for assembling the Precision Processor Bowl, blade assemblies (chopping or dough), and the feed chute lid.
• Locking Mechanism: The Precision Processor Bowl locks onto the base by turning clockwise. The feed chute lid also locks onto the bowl by turning clockwise. The unit will only power on once the bowl is locked in place.
• Power Button: A dedicated power button (O) turns the unit on.
• Ingredient Feeding: For slicing and shredding, ingredients are added through the feed chute on the lid, with a food pusher used to guide them.
• Lid Unlock: After processing, a button near the handle on the feed chute lid unlocks it, allowing it to be turned counterclockwise and lifted.
• Blade Removal: Blade assemblies (chopping, dough, or disc/spindle) should be removed from the bowl before emptying its contents.
• Bowl Removal: The bowl is removed from the base by turning it counterclockwise and lifting it up.

Maintenance Features:

• Dishwasher Safe: The bowl, lid, disc, and blade assemblies are top-rack dishwasher safe. It's crucial to remove the blade assembly from the bowl before placing it in the dishwasher.
• Hand-washing: Components can also be hand-washed in warm, soapy water.
• Handling Blades: Exercise extreme care when handling blade assemblies due to their sharpness. A dishwashing utensil with a handle is recommended to avoid direct hand contact with the blades.
