  If the power LED on your Nintendo Wii U console is flashing red, unplug the AC adapter from the electrical outlet. Ensure the console is not placed in an area that accumulates heat, such as on top of AV equipment, and that there is at least 10cm of ventilated space around the air intake and air vents. Wait two minutes, then plug the AC adapter back in and turn the power on.

  If your Nintendo Wii U GamePad is not charging or charging slowly, ensure you are using the correct Wii U GamePad AC Adapter (WUP-011(UKV)/WUP-011(EUR)). Unplug the AC adapter from the mains, wait at least 20 seconds, then firmly plug it back into the AC adapter connector or cradle and the wall socket. If you're using a cover on the GamePad, remove it before charging. Make sure you're charging the device in an environment between 10 – 35°C. If the battery LED is flashing orange, ensure that the battery is correctly installed.
