5. Remove pilot converter (A/T models) using Tool as necessary.
6. Lift engine, and mount to engine stand.
Any widely used commercially available engine stand can be
used.
CAUTION:
Before removing the hanging chains, make sure engine
stand is stable and there is no risk of overturning.
Use engine stand that has a load capacity large enough
to support the engine’s weight [approximately 220 kg
(441 lb) or more].
If the load capacity of the stand is not adequate, remove
the following parts to reduce the potential risk of over-
turning the stand.
Remove fuel tube and fuel injector assembly. Refer to
EM-45, "Removal and Installation"
.
Remove intake manifold. Refer to EM-28, "Removal and
Installation".
Remove rocker cover. Refer to EM-41, "Removal and
Installation".
Other removable brackets.
7. Drain engine coolant by removing the cylinder block drain plugs
(A), (B), (C) and (D) from cylinder block as shown.
NOTE:
For Canada, (D) is not plug but block heater.
