TheHC68isequippedwithanintelligentchargingsystem.Asillustrated,tightenthe
batterycapafterinsertingthebatteryandunscrewthechargingportcapuntilthe
chargingportisfullyexposed.ThenusetheUSBcabletoconnectanexternalpower
supply(e.g.aUSBadapterorotherUSBchargingdevices)tothechargingportto
beginthechargingprocess.
• Duringthechargingprocess,thepowerindicatorwillashslowlytoinformtheuser.
• Whenthebatteryisfullycharged,theHC68willceasethechargingprocessand
thepowerindicatorwillbecomesteadilyturnedontoinformtheuser.

It's built for durability and convenience, featuring a robust construction and an intelligent charging system.

Function Description

The HC68 headlamp is equipped with two primary white lights utilizing Luminus SST-40-W LEDs, providing a maximum output of 2,000 lumens. The headlamp offers both a spotlight and a floodlight function. The spotlight is designed for long-range lighting, achieving a maximum throw of 202 meters, thanks to its TIR optic lens. The floodlight, on the other hand, uses TrueVision Technology to deliver an ultra-smooth beam, ideal for wide-area illumination. A key feature is the stepless adjustment of the spotlight/floodlight output ratio, allowing users to customize the beam pattern to suit their specific requirements.

In addition to the primary white lights, the HC68 also includes an auxiliary red light. This red light is useful for preserving night vision, signaling, or for situations where a less intense light is preferred.

The headlamp incorporates an intelligent Li-ion battery charging circuit with a USB-C charging port, making it easy to recharge the battery directly within the device. A power indicator, located beneath the "+" and "-" buttons, displays the remaining battery power and can also show the battery voltage with an accuracy of ±0.1V. This feature helps users monitor battery status and plan their usage accordingly.

The HC68 is designed with an Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module, which intelligently regulates the output based on the working conditions and ambient environment. This ensures optimal performance and prevents overheating, thereby extending the lifespan of the device.

Usage Features

Operating the HC68 is straightforward. To turn the primary white light on or off, a short press of the Power Button is sufficient. The headlamp has a memory function for the ULTRALOW, LOW, and MID brightness levels. If the light was previously set to HIGH or HIGHER, it will reactivate at MID. If it was at ULTRALOW, LOW, or MID, it will return to its previous status.

Brightness levels for the primary white light can be adjusted by short pressing the "+" or "-" buttons. The "+" button increases brightness from ULTRALOW to HIGHER, while the "-" button decreases it from HIGHER to ULTRALOW.

The spotlight/floodlight adjustment is a standout feature. While the light is on, pressing and holding the "+" button increases the spotlight output ratio and decreases the floodlight output ratio, eventually reaching 100% Spotlight. Conversely, pressing and holding the "-" button increases the floodlight output ratio and decreases the spotlight output ratio, leading to 100% Floodlight. It's important to note that this stepless adjustment is available on certain brightness levels, but not on TURBO, where the output ratio is fixed. For ULTRALOW, a long press of "+" switches to 100% Spotlight, and a long press of "-" switches to 100% Floodlight.

For maximum output, the TURBO mode can be temporarily accessed by holding the Power Button for 1 second when the light is on. After activating TURBO, a short press of the Power Button will return to the previous memorized status, or it will automatically revert after 60 seconds of no operation. Holding the Power button for over 5 seconds after activating TURBO will access ULTRALOW instead.

The auxiliary red light and special modes are also easily accessible. When the light is off, a double press of the Power Button activates RED LOW. From RED LOW, short presses of the "+" button cycle through RED LOW, RED HIGH, RED FLASHING, BEACON, and SOS. Short presses of the "-" button cycle through these modes in reverse. To turn off any auxiliary light or special mode, a short press of the Power Button is used.

The power indicator provides useful information about battery status. Upon battery insertion or disconnection during charging, it flashes to show the battery voltage. For instance, 4 flashes followed by a 1.5-second pause and 2 more flashes indicate 4.2V. When the light is off, a short press of the "+" or "-" button will cause the power indicator to flash: three times for over 50% power, twice for below 50%, and once for below 10%.

The headlamp offers a 180° tilt angle, allowing users to direct the light precisely where needed for different illumination requirements. Its highly efficient constant current circuit ensures a stable output for up to 800 hours, providing reliable performance over extended periods.

Maintenance Features

The HC68 is constructed from aero-grade aluminum alloy with an HA III military-grade hard-anodized finish, ensuring its durability and resistance to wear and tear. It is rated in accordance with IP68, meaning it is submersible up to 2 meters, and it is impact resistant to 2 meters, making it suitable for challenging environments.

For optimal performance and longevity, the manufacturer recommends replacing batteries when the output appears dim or the headlamp becomes unresponsive due to low power.

Regular maintenance is also advised. Every 6 months, the threads of the headlamp should be wiped with a clean cloth and then coated with a thin layer of silicon-based lubricant. This helps to ensure smooth operation of the battery cap and maintains the integrity of the waterproof seals.

Before initial use, it is crucial to remove the insulation film from the battery to allow the device to function correctly. The manual also provides warnings, such as ensuring correct battery insertion, avoiding looking directly into the light due to potential radiation, recharging low batteries promptly to prevent damage, removing batteries for prolonged storage to prevent accidental activation or leakage, and avoiding submerging the headlamp in liquid when hot to prevent irreparable damage from air pressure differences.
