  To address AC interference on ECG waveforms with Norav Medical equipment: Ensure the patient isn't touching metal parts. Verify the AC power cable isn't intertwined with the patient lead cable. Turn on the AC filter and select the correct frequency (50Hz or 60Hz). If the issue continues, it may be due to other equipment or poor grounding; consider moving to another room. The interference can be caused by electrodes problem, technician touching an electrode, patient touching any metal parts of an exam table or bed, broken ECG cable or power cord, electrical devices in the immediate area, lighting, concealed wiring in walls or floors, improperly grounded electrical outlet or incorrect AC filter frequency setting or AC filter is turned off.

  If 'Lead-off' appears on the screen or some leads print as bold lines on your Norav Medical equipment, the electrode contact might be poor, a lead may be loose or disconnected, or there may be a broken leadwire or patient cable. Try reattaching or replacing the electrode. Make sure the patient’s skin is properly prepared and verify the shelf life of electrodes has not expired.

  If a thick straight line appears for all leads on your Norav Medical equipment, it indicates a connection failure to the acquisition box. If using a USB connection, check that the LED on the ECG device is illuminated, and check connections to the USB port and to the ECG device. If connected through RS232, check the connection to the acquisition box and ensure the box is switched on.

  Missing data after a thick line on your Norav Medical Equipment ECG may be due to the PC entering sleep or hibernation mode during the ECG test. Disable power management settings: Right click on the desktop, select PROPERTIES, then the SCREENSAVER tab. Press the POWER button, select Power Schemes as either PRESENTATION or HOME\OFFICE DESK. Set NEVER to 'Turn off Hard Disk', 'System Standby', and 'System Hibernates'. Press OK to apply this configuration.
