14. Orient the crossbar assembly (R) as shown.
Attach the crossbar assembly to the left and right
handrail assemblies (P, Q) with four 1/4" x 3/4"
Screws (5); start all four Screws, and then
tighten them.
Then, tighten the four indicated 3/8" x 2 1/4"
Screws (1).

15. Tip: It may be helpful to use a short phillips
screwdriver for this step.
Identify the Left Handrail Cover (110). Attach the
Left Handrail Cover to the left handrail assembly
(P) with four #8 x 3/4" Screws (2); start all four
Screws, and then tighten them. Be careful not
to overtighten the Screws.
Attach the Right Handrail Cover (not shown)
to the right side in the same way.
