Maintenance Features
General Maintenance:
- Unplug the machine and close the water tap before maintenance.
- If not using for a long time, unplug, close water supply, and leave the door open to dry the interior and prevent odors.
Water Inlet Filters:
- Filters are located at the tap part of the water inlet hose and at the ends of water inlet valves.
- Clean these filters if the machine does not receive sufficient water. Remove filters using pincers, wash with a brush, and clean hose filters manually.
Pump Filter:
- Clean the pump filter every 2-3 months to prevent lint from entering the pump.
- To clean: Open the kickplate cover, place a cup in front of the filter cover, loosen the filter cover by rotating counter-clockwise, drain water, remove foreign materials, check pump rotation, refit the filter cover by rotating clockwise, and replace the kickplate cover. Ensure the filter cover is properly fitted to prevent leaks.
Detergent Drawer:
- Clean the detergent drawer regularly to remove sediment.
- To remove: Pull the drawer to the end, lift the front, and continue pulling. Wash with an old toothbrush and excessive water. Remove leftover detergent and dry before reinserting.
Siphon Plug:
- Pull out the detergent drawer, remove the siphon plug, clean residues, and refit it properly.
The Cabinet:
- Clean the exterior with lukewarm water and a non-irritating cleaning substance. Rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Winter precautions (below 0°C): Plug in the machine, close the water tap, pull out inlet hoses, place drain and inlet hose ends in a cup on the ground, set program knob to "Draining," press Start/Pause, and unplug after the program ends. This drains remaining water to prevent ice formation. Ensure ambient temperature is above 0°C before operating again.
The Drum:
- Do not leave metal parts inside to prevent rust stains.
- To remove rust stains, use a chlorine-free cleaning substance following manufacturer warnings. Never use dish-washing wires or rough objects.
Lime Removal:
- Proper detergent dosage usually prevents lime buildup. If removal is desired, use market-available lime protectors and follow their warnings. Be aware that lime-eliminating substances contain acids that may cause color changes in clothes and adverse effects on the machine.
Troubleshooting (Minor Faults):
- Machine not operating: Check plug, fuse, electrical power, Start/Pause button, program knob position (should not be O(off)), and door closure.
- Machine not receiving water: Check water tap, water inlet hose (bent/obstructed), and valve inlet filter (obstructed).
- Machine not draining water: Check drain hose (obstructed/bent) and pump filter (obstructed).
- Machine vibrating: Ensure clothes are balanced, feet are adjusted, and transportation screws are removed.
- Excessive foam: Too much detergent or wrong detergent type. Use less detergent or detergents for automatic machines.
- Bad washing result: Overloaded machine, hard water, unbalanced clothes, too little detergent, or wrong program selected for dirtiness level.
- Water drained as soon as filled: Water drain hose too low.
- No water seen in drum: Normal, water is at the lower part of the drum.
- Detergent residues: Detergent not dissolving, causing white stains. Make an additional rinse or brush off stains after drying.
- Gray stains: Caused by oil, cream, or ointment. Use maximum detergent amount in the next wash.
- Spinning delay/not done: Unbalanced load control system distributing clothes. Place clothes in a well-balanced manner in the next wash.
Automatic Failure Detection System:
The machine has a self-monitoring system that warns of failures:
- Err 01 (Start/Pause light blinks): Door not shut properly. Shut the door firmly. If persistent, turn off, unplug, and contact service.
- Err 02 (Program ready light blinks): Water level below heater, or low/locked water supply. Turn on tap, check water supply. If persistent, unplug, turn off tap, and contact service.
- Err 03 (Start/Pause and program ready lights blink): Pump failed or pump filter obstructed. Clean pump filter. If persistent, contact service.
- Err 05 (Start/Pause and program end lights blink): Heater or heat sensor failed. Shut down, unplug, turn off tap, and contact service.
- Err 06 (Program ready and program end lights blink): Motor failed. Shut down, unplug, turn off tap, and contact service.
- Err 07 (All three lights stay on permanently): Configuration error. Shut down, unplug, turn off tap, and contact service.
- Err 08 (Start/Pause, program ready, and program end lights blink): Motor failed. Shut down, unplug, turn off tap, and contact service.
- Err 09 (Program ready and program end lights stay on permanently): Network voltage too high (>260V) or too low (<150V). Machine stops automatically; operation resumes when voltage recovers.
International Washing Signs:
The manual includes a section with international washing symbols for temperature, washing method, ironing, drying, and bleaching, along with dry cleaning symbols (F, P, A). Garments with dry cleaning symbols should not be machine washed unless specified on the label.
