  • 030K (45000/72000 BTUH heating input): 208/230-60-1 electrical supply, 14.1 RLA, 73 LRA, 1.46 fan amps, 3.8 blower motor amps, 22.9 minimum circuit ampacity, 35 maximum over-current protection.
  • 036K (72000/96000 BTUH heating input): 208/230-60-1 electrical supply, 16.7 RLA, 79 LRA, 1.46 fan amps, 5.4 blower motor amps, 27.7 minimum circuit ampacity, 40 maximum over-current protection.
  • 042K (72000/96000 BTUH heating input): 208/230-60-1 electrical supply, 18 RLA, 117 LRA, 1.46 fan amps, 5.4 blower motor amps, 29.4 minimum circuit ampacity, 45 maximum over-current protection.
  • 048K (96000/120000 BTUH heating input): 208/230-60-1 electrical supply, 21.8 RLA, 117 LRA, 1.46 fan amps, 5.4 blower motor amps, 34.1 minimum circuit ampacity, 50 maximum over-current protection.
  • X60K (96000/120000 BTUH heating input): 208/230-60-1 electrical supply, 26.3 RLA, 134 LRA, 1.46 fan amps, 7 blower motor amps, 41.3 minimum circuit ampacity, 60 maximum over-current protection.

Gas Information:

  • Natural Gas Manifold Pressure (in WC): Ranges from 3.5 to 2.6 depending on altitude and heating value (Table 3). Orifice size is typically #43 or #46.
  • LP/Propane Gas Manifold Pressure (in WC): Ranges from 10 to 8.5 depending on altitude (Table 4). Orifice size is typically #54, #55, or #56.
  • Gas Pipe Capacities (Table 9): Provides cubic feet per hour for various pipe diameters and lengths.
  • Gas Flow Rates (Table 10): Lists cubic feet per hour per revolution of gas meter for 1, 5, and 10 cubic foot meters.

Airflow Data:

  • Nominal Heating Airflow Rates & Temperature Rises (Table 7): Provides CFM and temperature rise for various heating inputs and external static pressures.
  • Nominal Cooling Airflow Rates & Temperature Rises (Table 8): Provides CFM and temperature rise for various cooling capacities and external static pressures.
  • External Filter Sizes (Table 1): Recommended filter sizes for different nominal cooling tonnages, with approximate airflow ranges and filter areas.
  • Internal Filter Sizes (Table 1): Recommended filter sizes for different cabinet heights and outdoor fan diameters, with approximate airflow ranges and filter areas.

Usage Features

  • Installation: Designed for outdoor rooftop or ground-level slab installations. Requires specific clearances to combustibles (Figure 1). Can be converted from horizontal to downflow duct connections.
  • Thermostat Control: Operates from a 24 VAC Class II control circuit. A single-stage cooling/heating thermostat is used for basic operation, while a 2-stage cooling/heating thermostat is recommended for economizer operation.
  • Blower Speed: Equipped with a multi-speed motor. For ECM type motors, speed selection is made by moving leads on the blower motor terminal block.
  • Safety Features: Includes flame roll-out control, flame sensor, pressure switch, and over-temperature limit control to ensure safe operation. Diagnostic codes (Table 5) are provided for troubleshooting.
  • High Altitude Conversion: Requires factory-supplied orifices and manifold pressure adjustment.
  • LP/Propane Gas Conversion: Requires a special manufacturer-supplied kit and replacement of natural gas orifices with appropriate LP/Propane orifices, followed by manifold pressure adjustment.

Maintenance Features

  • Filter Maintenance: Air filters are not supplied and must be installed upstream of the evaporator coil. Filters must be kept clean and replaced frequently to ensure proper unit operation and efficiency. Never operate the unit without a filter.
  • Heat Exchanger Cleaning: If soot or scale builds up, the heat exchanger must be cleaned by qualified personnel. This involves disconnecting gas and electrical components, removing the combustion blower and collector pan, and using a wire brush and vacuum to clean the exchanger tubes.
  • Burner Cleaning: Burners should be inspected for dust or debris and cleaned carefully with a soft wire brush and vacuum cleaner, taking care not to damage the ignitor or flame sensor.
  • Coil and Drain Maintenance: Inspect and clean the condensate drain and outdoor coil at the beginning of each cooling season, removing debris and cleaning with mild detergent and water.
  • Electrical Connections: Inspect electrical connections for tightness at the beginning of each heating and cooling season.
  • Blower Compartment: Clean the blower compartment monthly during heating and cooling seasons to remove dirt and lint accumulation.
  • Annual Inspection: A qualified serviceman should annually inspect and clean the heat exchanger, vent system, and burners to ensure continued safe operation and identify any deterioration.
  • Refrigerant Charging: Units are factory-charged with R-410A. If repairs necessitate evacuation and charging, it must be performed by qualified, trained personnel using appropriate tools and procedures. Do not mix refrigerants or charge with a refrigerant not listed on the unit rating label.
