Another potential cause is a restriction in the refrigerant line; check the subcooling and superheat, the thermal expansion valve operation, and for any pressure drop across the filter drier. Lastly, the low pressure switch itself might be defective; check the switch (opens at 35 psi and closes at 50 psi), and if it is defective, replace it.
