This pressure washer is equipped
with a microswitch sensitive
to water flow. This Total Stop
System (TSS) senses water flow
in the pump. When the trigger
is released, water stops flowing
through the pump. The TSS then
automatically turns the motor
off to protect the pump from
overheating.

Overview

The AR141 Electric Pressure Washer is a cleaning device designed for consumer applications, utilizing high-pressure water to remove dirt and grime from various surfaces. It is equipped with a Total Stop System (TSS) that senses water flow in the pump. When the trigger is released, water stops flowing through the pump, and the TSS automatically turns the motor off to prevent overheating.

  • Maximum PSI (Pounds per Square Inch): 1600
  • Maximum GPM (Gallons per Minute): 1.58
  • Maximum Temperature: 122°F
  • Voltage: 120V
  • Amps: 11
  • Unit Weight: 18 lbs

Package Content:

The product package includes:

  1. Pressure Water Unit
  2. Manual
  3. Adjustable Spray Nozzle
  4. Lance
  5. Gun
  6. Detergent Tank
  7. Nozzle Cleaning Tool
  8. High Pressure Hose
  9. Garden Hose Adapter
  10. Lance Holder
  11. Cart Attachment

Usage Features:

The pressure washer is designed for ease of use with several operational features:

  • Operation Sequence: To operate, pull the trigger on the gun, turn the "ON/OFF" switch to "ON," then release the trigger. The motor will stop running. To spray again, pull the trigger, and the motor and pump will restart. The motor may occasionally run for a short time to bring fresh, cool water into the pump even if the trigger is released; this is normal and does not damage the unit.
  • Safety Precautions: Always turn the "ON/OFF" switch to "OFF" and release hose pressure by squeezing the trigger gun before unplugging the power cord. Ensure the "ON/OFF" switch is "OFF" and the unit is unplugged prior to storage to prevent equipment damage.
  • Risk of Injection: The unit will start spraying when the trigger is squeezed if the "ON/OFF" switch is in the "ON" position. Always point the gun in a safe direction.
  • Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI): The product is provided with a GFCI. Inspect the cord and GFCI prior to use. Any repair or replacement of the power cord must be performed by a qualified electrical technician. Never use an extension cord with this product.
  • Chemicals Warning: The power cord on this product contains chemicals, including lead, known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Users should wash hands after handling.
  • Electrical Safety: Keep all electrical connections dry and off the ground. Do not touch the plug with wet hands. Do not spray electrical apparatus and wiring.
  • High Pressure Safety: Keep clear of the nozzle. Do not discharge streams at persons or animals. Never put hands or fingers over the spray tip while operating. Never try to stop or deflect leaks with any body part. Always engage the trigger safety latch in the safe position when spraying is stopped.
  • Pressure Discharge: When the "ON/OFF" switch is in the "OFF" position, pressure may still exist in the unit. To discharge pressure, point the gun in a safe direction and squeeze the trigger.
  • Explosion Risk: Do not spray flammable liquids or use in areas containing combustible dust, liquids, or vapors.
  • Kickback: High pressure can cause gun kickback; hold the gun with both hands.
  • Hose Care: Keep the hose away from sharp objects. Bursting hoses may cause injury. Examine the hose regularly and replace it if damaged. Do not attempt to mend a damaged hose.
  • Detergent Use: Use only detergents specifically formulated for pressure washers. Follow detergent manufacturer's label recommendations. Protect eyes, skin, and respiratory system from detergent. Thicker detergents, like dish soap, will clog the chemical injection system. Detergents work best when applied at low pressure.
  • Water Supply: Always turn the water supply "ON" before turning the pressure washer "ON." Running the pump dry causes serious damage. Do not operate the pressure washer with the inlet water screen removed. Keep the screen clear of debris and sediment.
  • Temperature: Store indoors and where the temperature stays above freezing. The pressure washer is not meant to pump hot water; do not connect it to a hot water supply.
  • Unattended Operation: Unplug the unit when not in use. Never leave the unit unattended while it is plugged in.
  • Nozzle Adjustment: The spray pattern shape and intensity can be changed by twisting the spray adjuster at the end of the lance. Keep hands clear of the front of the lance to prevent injury.
  • Damaging Surfaces: Damage occurs when the water's impact force exceeds the surface's durability. Vary the impact force by controlling the nozzle's fan pattern, angle to the surface, and distance. Avoid narrow high-impact streams or turbo nozzles on susceptible surfaces, including windows.
  • Detergent Application: On vertical surfaces, apply detergent starting at the bottom and working upward to prevent sliding and streaking. High-pressure rinsing should also progress from bottom to top. For tough stains, a brush may be needed with detergents and high-pressure rinsing.

Maintenance Features:

  • Double-Insulated Appliance: The product features a double-insulated design, meaning it has two systems of insulation instead of grounding. Servicing requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and should only be done by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts must be identical to the original parts.
  • Pump Protection: Never allow the unit to run with the trigger release (off) for more than one minute, as resulting heat buildup will damage the pump.
  • Hose Connection: Attach the swivel adapter to the pump water inlet, ensuring the "pump" side connects to the pump water inlet. Attach the garden hose to the "hose" side of the swivel adapter.
  • Trigger Lock: The spray gun has a safety trigger lock. Activate it by holding the gun and pushing the lock from left to right. Ensure the trigger does not move. The safety trigger lock should be locked at all times when the pressure washer is not in use.
  • Power Cord Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V outlet and press the reset button. This must be done each time the unit is plugged into an outlet.
  • System Connection: Insert the lance adapter into the gun and turn clockwise to a positive stop. Insert the detergent bottle assembly into the lance, push down, and turn clockwise to a positive stop. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position.
  • Pressure Release: Attach the high-pressure hose to the pump water outlet by turning clockwise and hand tightening. Connect the garden hose. Plug in the power cord and turn on the water. Unlock the trigger lock. Depress and hold the trigger on the gun for one minute to release pressure and remove any air trapped in the system. Turn the "ON/OFF" switch to "ON."
  • Nozzle Cleaning: A clogged or partially clogged nozzle can significantly reduce water flow and cause the unit to pulsate. To clean: turn off the unit and water supply, relieve pressure by squeezing the trigger 2-3 times, separate the lance from the gun, rotate the nozzle to the narrow stream setting, and use the included tip cleaner (or an unfolded paper clip) to insert wire into the nozzle hole and move back and forth until debris is dislodged. Back-flush water through the nozzle by placing the end of a garden hose (with running water) to the tip of the nozzle.
  • General Maintenance: Never operate the machine without all components properly connected (handle, gun/wand assembly, nozzle, etc.). Never operate the pressure washer with broken or missing parts. Check equipment regularly and repair or replace worn or damaged parts immediately. Use only the nozzle supplied with this machine. Never leave the wand unattended while the machine is running. Never attempt to alter factory settings, as this could damage the unit and void the warranty. Always hold the gun and wand firmly when starting and operating the machine.
