What to do if the circuit breaker trips on my North Star Inverter?
    • B
      Brandy HaneyJul 30, 2025
If the circuit breaker trips, it might be due to several reasons. First, the engine speed could be too slow, in which case you should increase the tractor RPMs. Second, the generator might be overloaded, so reduce the load. See Load Application section of this manual. Third, a defective load might be connected; disconnect it. Fourth, the receptacle could be defective; replace it.

How to fix voltage that is too low on a North Star Inverter?
    • L
      Lisa WallaceAug 9, 2025
If the voltage is too low, try increasing the tractor RPMs. Alternatively, reduce the load. See Load Application section of this manual.

Why is there excessive gear box noise in my North Star Inverter?
    • A
      Aaron CampbellAug 18, 2025
Excessive gearbox noise can be caused by several factors. It could be due to no or low gear oil, in which case you should fill the gear box to the oil level sight. Also, the PTO driveline may be operating at an angle greater than 15°; reposition the tractor or generator so the angle is reduced to less than 15° both vertically and horizontally. Finally, an unsynchronized PTO driveline can cause noise; disassemble the PTO driveline and reassemble with CV joints synchronized.
