Engine ECU Indicator Inspection:
The engine ECU has a red LED indicator that illuminates and/or flashes to indicate that there is a problem with
the engine. If the red engine ECU indicator LED lights up or flashes during engine operation, please Contact
NorthStar Product Support at 1-800-270-0810 for nearest NorthStar Authorized Service Center location as soon
as possible to solve the problem. If the engine has stopped automatically, follow these steps:
1) Make sure the engine is level.
2) Check the engine fuel level. Refer to the Add Fuel section of the Operation section of this manual.
3) Check the engine oil. Refer to the Check/Add Engine Oil section of the Operation section of
this manual.
4) Start the engine. Refer to the Starting the Engine section of the Operation section of this
manual.
5) Do not use the engine if the red engine indicator LED is always on or flashing regularly and the
engine stops automatically. Please Contact NorthStar Product Support at 1-800-270-0810 for nearest
NorthStar Authorized Service Center location immediately to solve this problem. Please see the
below table for the possible causes (DTC Name) and number of flashes.
