switch-off cycle foresees three activations of the switch-off output, at the end of which the UDS-4N
switches to the "extinguishing release failed" condition.
By not enabling the flow switch control, in the activated condition of a shutdown cycle, the UDS-4N
controls the pressure switch input only.
◦ Flow switch input N.A., [N.A. | N.C.].
◦ Pressure switch input N.A., [N.A. | N.C.].
◦ Manual activation input N.O. , [N.O. | N.C.].
For each of these three inputs it is possible to select the polarity of the contact in the rest state as N.O.
(default) or N.C. (default). (default value) or as N.C..
N.B.: When programming the enabling of flow control and the type of contacts in the resting state of
the flow switch input and the manual activation input, it is necessary to execute the exclusion of the
"shutdown output", otherwise there is a risk of activating the "shutdown output".
5.5 - CONFIGURATION MENU \ Delays
Access level 3 (Password = 33333)
5.6 - CONFIGURATION MENU \ Delay / Unloading delay
▪ Automatic Discharge Delay (s) 10, [0, ..., 60]
Allows setting the pre-release time for automatic discharge from 0 to 60 seconds with a default value
of 10 seconds.
▪ Manual discharge delay (s) 1, [0, ..., 5]
Allows setting the pre-release time for manual discharge from 0 to 5 seconds with a default value of 1
second.
5.7 - CONFIGURATION MENU \ Delay / Reset delay
▪ Reset Delay (min) 1, [0, ..., 30]
Allows the setting of the reset inhibit time in the event of a "release alarm condition". The settable
values range from 0 to 30 minutes with a default value of 1 minute, while the value 0 indicates that the
delay is not enabled. This value is used to prevent a discharge from being interrupted prematurely, i.e.
to deactivate the shutdown output, before a minimum time that can be set with this parameter has
elapsed. (UNI EN 12094-1:2004, par. 4.12.2).
In case of activation of the emergency extension input, the residual time of the reset delay continues to
be decreased, allowing an early reset.
5.8 - CONFIGURATION MENU \ Activation mode
Access level 2 (Password = 22222)
◦ Mode Automatic, [Automatic | Manual Only]
This parameter allows selection of the mode of power-off activation. If "Manual Only" is selected, the UDS-
4N can only be activated by a signal from the "Manual Shutdown Activation Device" input, any other
pre-activation/activation signals are ignored from both the inputs and the loop. This condition can also be
activated by an activation signal in the input on the terminal board: input "Manual only shutdown". The
"Manual Only"
mode places the UDS-4N in the "Manual Only Mode Condition"
