2.3 - DESCRIPTION OF OUTPUTS
The following operating window applies to each of the outputs controlled in the terminal block.
An algorithm for resistance drift control is applied to each output and if the resistance value falls within one of the
resistance ranges L or H a 'low indeterminate' or 'high indeterminate' output level fault is provided.
Other faults that can be signalled by an output are: "short-circuited", "open" with obvious meaning, also "diagnostics in
fault", for outputs with a diagnostic circuit, and "unstable". In the latter case it means that the output resistance is
constantly changing between states and does not remain there long enough.

2.3.1 - CNLC TERMINAL BLOCK OUTPUTS
Output for pre-alarm device
This is a controlled output with a 2.7kΩ "Fine-Line" resistor - 5%-1/4W.
This output can be excluded from the exclusion menu.
N.B. When the PRE-ALARM output is activated, the polarities at the ends of the respective terminals are
reversed.
Siren/alarm device output
This is a controlled output with a 2.7kΩ "Fine-Line" resistor - 5%-1/4W.
This output can be excluded from the exclusion menu.
N.B. When the SIREN output is activated, the polarities at the ends of the respective terminals are reversed.
Extinguishing system fault output (unit in lockout) / active exclusions
This is a controlled output with a 2.7kΩ "Fine-Line" resistor - 5%-1/4W.
This output is activated if:
1) the pressure switch input is activated, before the shutdown output or the flow switch input is activated, and, in
this case, the UDS-4N panel goes into the "agent leakage fault condition" and signals the fault with the "Agent
leakage" event;
2) An exclusion has been activated from the exclusion menu; the UDS-4N is in the "out-of-service condition".
N.B. When the OUTPUT / EXHAUST SYSTEM ANOMALY output is activated, the polarities at the ends of the
respective terminals are reversed.
Outlet for pilot cylinder / directional valve
This is a special controlled output with a 2.7kΩ "Fine-Line" resistor - 5%-1/4W.
This output is activated when UDS-4N enters the "activated condition", i.e. when UDS-4N
one of the following situations arises:
1) the simultaneous presence of alarm 1 and alarm 2 signals from the inputs on the terminal board;
2) the simultaneous presence of alarm 1 and alarm 2 signals from loops;
3) activation of the input for the manual switch-off device.
This output remains active until the end of the switch-off cycle.
This output can be excluded from the exclusion menu.
N.B. When the PILOT BOMB / DIRECTIONAL VALVE output is activated, the polarities at the ends of the
respective terminals are reversed.
Shutdown output
This is a special controlled output with a 2.7kΩ "Fine-Line" resistor - 5%-1/4W.
This output is managed in the "release condition".
This output can be excluded from the exclusion menu.
N.B. When the SLEEP output is activated, the polarities at the ends of the respective terminals are reversed.
