The 39G is a splash-proof Bluetooth® loudspeaker designed for playing music and making phone calls from an external data source like a smartphone or smartwatch. It is intended for private sector use and is represented in Europe and the European Union by NOXGEAR Austria.
The 39G connects to a source device via Bluetooth®. To pair, press and hold the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth® Connecting Mode. Then, on your source device, switch on Bluetooth®, search for devices, select "NOXGEAR 39G" from the list, and connect. Once connected, music and telephony will be routed through the 39G. If pairing fails, try switching the Bluetooth® function off and on again on the source device, or restarting both devices.
To switch the device on, press and hold the Play/Pause button for 2-3 seconds. The 39G will announce "NOXGEAR 39G activated - Battery & the current state of charge - 'good - medium - low' - 'connected'" and flash blue slowly. To switch off, press and hold the Play/Pause button for 2-3 seconds, and the 39G will announce "Power off."
For incoming calls, the 39G will ring simultaneously with your smartphone/smartwatch. Briefly pressing the Play/Pause button answers the call, and the LED lights up green. Media playback will pause, allowing you to conduct the call via the built-in microphone/speaker. To hang up, briefly press the Play/Pause button again. To reject a call, press and hold the Play/Pause button. After a call, music can be resumed by pressing the Play/Pause button.
Music track control includes briefly pressing the "double arrow right" button for the next track and the "double arrow left" button for the previous track.
Volume control is managed by the PLUS and MINUS buttons. Briefly pressing PLUS increases volume, and briefly pressing MINUS decreases it. Holding down either button changes the volume rapidly and continuously. Users are advised to choose a comfortable volume to protect their hearing and respect others' privacy. Prolonged listening at high volumes can damage hearing, especially for children and pets. It is recommended to set the volume to low before turning on the device.
The 39G also supports voice assistants. With an existing Bluetooth® connection and an activated voice assistant on your smartphone, briefly press the button and wait for the assistant to respond. Then, speak in the direction of the NOXGEAR 39G. The volume of speech and signal tones from the voice assistant depends on smartphone settings.
The 39G is splash-proof, designed to withstand rain or snowfall for a limited time, but is not suitable for swimming or water immersion. Splash protection is only effective when the device is carried with the micro-USB connector pointing downwards. The device contains a built-in lithium battery. Charging is done via a supplied micro-USB plug connected to a standard 5-watt USB power plug. The average charging time is approximately 3 hours, indicated by a green LED. The maximum charging current is 0.5 amps. Acoustic indicators for battery level are: "battery good" (100% to 75% charge), "battery medium" (75% to 25% charge), and "battery low" (25% to 0% charge). The device has an automatic shutdown feature: 3 hours when paired and 5 minutes when unpaired. To protect the battery, it includes deep discharge protection, switching off when a defined threshold is reached. The operating temperature range is -20 degrees Celsius to +40 degrees Celsius. Storage temperature should be between 0 degrees Celsius and +35 degrees Celsius.
The 39G can be mounted using a clip or a magnetic holder, both located on the back of the housing. Users are cautioned not to overstretch the built-in clip, as breakage is not covered by warranty. The magnetic clip is a paid replacement part. The device is not a toy and is not designed for use by children. Children should not use electronic devices unsupervised and can be injured by playing with the product or accessories. Condensation can form inside the housing if the device is moved from a cold to a warm temperature zone. In such cases, allow the device to acclimate for at least two hours before use. The product contains magnetic material. Individuals with implants like cardiac pacemakers or defibrillators should consult their doctor regarding potential effects.
For cleaning, use a soft, slightly moistened microfiber cloth, then immediately wipe dry with another soft cloth without applying pressure. Avoid caustic cleaners, spirits, thinners, petrol, or coarse-fibre cloths/sponges, as these can damage the housing surface and internal electronics. To ensure optimal battery performance and prevent deep discharge, avoid letting the battery drop below 20% charge ("Battery low" announcement and red LED signal light). Charge the battery according to the display or at least every 14 days. Store the battery at a room temperature between +5 degrees Celsius and +35 degrees Celsius. After full charge, store the battery in a fireproof environment. Do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or modify the product. In case of malfunction, contact NOXGEAR. Old devices must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of old electronic devices at official collection points for professional recycling. Batteries and accumulators should only be handed in when discharged.
The warranty for the device is in accordance with VGG from 01.01.2022. The warranty period for the built-in lithium battery is limited to six months from the date of purchase, as its service life depends on usage and charging cycles.
